About me

I am a hypnotherapist who specialises in treating and managing anxiety disorders. I use a combination of hypnosis, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and mindfulness to teach clients how to control their symptoms and learn confidence instead.

I am based in Andover, Hampshire at YMYB Health & Wellness Centre which I also own and run.

My business, Anxiety 2 Confidence, aims to give clients control over the issues they are facing and develop a realistic and personal confidence. This can be done through sessions at my clinic, through Skype and also through the online courses available on my website.

I became a hypnotherapist after struggling with my own anxiety while studying a combined masters degree. My anxiety led me to fail my degree and made me feel like I could never achieve anything.

Overcoming my anxiety gave me my life back and gave me the confidence to do a challenging job like hypnotherapy. I find my work incredibly inspiring and love to hear the success stories of my clients.

Training, qualifications & experience

I gained a diploma in clinical hypnotherapy in 2011

I also graduated with a BSc (Hons) in human physiology, neuro-anatomy and psychology in 2018

I have also done continuing professional development courses in cognitive behavioural hypnotherapy and mindfulness

I am currently studying for a counselling diploma.

Member organisations

The General Hypnotherapy Register

Hypnotherapists may become members of the General Hypnotherapy Register if they satisfy certain criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements as determined from time to time by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC).

Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level.

All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.

Key details

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a hypnotherapist's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the hypnotherapist to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
