Hi Sidra

This is my scales this morning. After years of wanting to be at this weight again I've finally been able to make it happen. I'm utterly convinced that I couldn't have been able to do this without your help. (See pic below)
THANK YOU!!!

Warmest regards (female, Langley)

'The sessions have helped me to learn to relax about anxiety and feel more in control of my life and focus on issues one at a time with a positive outlook..' Female, Ascot.

..'I feel that you were far more than a guide.  After years of experimenting with numerous ways to stop the rebellious self-sabotage...none of which worked.  Telling a friend that my experiments weren't working who said something so simple I hadn't considered it "you need outside help."  And then I found you (thank you Google...lol).  When people ask me how am I doing it I tell them "getting my head in the right place  = 70% of the work + eating the right foods for ME = 25% + exercise = 5%.  The other key contributing factor has been logging my calorie intake via a food/beverage diary (I like a website called nutracheck (www.nutracheck.co.uk)).

Now that I'm at 56kg...I'm keen to get a smidgen lower to 52.?kg.  I'm convinced it's only a matter of time.  I've started running again & it feels GREAT!!!

THANK YOU :-)

I feel so much better in my self and would like to see you for couple more weeks so I have long term affect..' Thankyou. Female.. Langley

I was so calm I couldn't believe it, no panic attacks and the day went almost as you described it in the sessions, had a good laugh with all the guests while I was waiting for -------- and my voice when it came to the wedding vows was pretty much normal. Had lots of texts from the guests the day after and all said what a great day and how pleased they were to be asked to be part of our special day and how much they enjoyed it. Thankyou so much or all your help, you certainly are a miracle worker.'...(for anxiety) Male, Slough

"Focused hypnosis really helped with instant change of my behaviour and attitude to how I feel about life and outlook. These sessions have been invaluable. FAQ"S

Q: What is Counselling/psychotherapy?

Counselling is a talking therapy that helps a person to explore and think about possible solutions to what might be worrying them. An important part of counselling is that the counsellor will not judge or make decisions on behalf of clients they are seeing. There are many different approaches to counselling some of which include: humanistic, psychodynamic and behavioural. Please view my website to find out more info.

Q: What is hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is simply achieving an altered state of consciousness for the benefit of therapeutic purposes to create the desired change and behaviour that you want. This means encouraging a state of deep relaxation similar to daydreaming, meditation, or the state just before you wake up or go to sleep, and then making beneficial suggestions and using therapeutic techniques to the subconscious mind during this time.

We experience trance-like states every day even if we do not recognise them as such. By harnessing this state, characterised by alpha waves in the brain and a sense of deep peaceful concentration, hypnotherapy can bypass the conscious mind so that suggestions can be absorbed by the subconscious. This way even deeply ingrained behaviours can be altered. Beneficial suggestions are then given the part of the mind known as the ‘subconscious’. (or as some people know it- the unconscious). Whilst under hypnosis the conscious part of the mind temporarily allows these suggestions to bypass- therefore making the subconscious much more receptive to hypnotherapy.

Q: Where are you based?

Please note: Due to childcare issues I'm currently working only from my Slough, Berkshire based practice and not my London practice.

My practices are based at my home in central Slough, Berkshire in a beautiful and comfortably furnished room and central London in the prestigious Mayfair area. There is free on-site parking also available at my Slough, Berkshire practice. At my Slough practice, we're close to all areas of Berkshire and Buckinghamshire including the areas of Slough, Heathrow, Iver, Uxbridge, Thames Valley, Taplow, Colnbrook, Windsor, Maidenhead, Reading, Hayes, Hillingdon, Ruislip, Datchen, Burnham and only a 7 minutes walk from Slough station. At my London practice, we're close to the areas of Bond Street, Westend, Oxford Street, and central London and only a 2 minute walk from Bond Street station.

There is free onsite parking available at the Slough Berkshire practice.

The rooms I use for hypnotherapy sessions, are furnished to a high standard with large, comfortable recliner sofas perfect for hypnotherapy

Q: What are your opening times?

Monday to Fridays:10am - 8.00pm
Saturday to Sundays: 10am - 5pm

Q: I feel nervous about seeking help - is this normal?

Of course, it is! Its absolutely ok to feel nervous, worried or confused about having a session. That is why I offer a FREE phone consultation before you choose to commit or not.  Feel free to contact me with any queries and I will answer all your questions and concerns. You can then decide whether or not to have a session with me. I really want you to feel comfortable- so please do not hesitate to get in touch. You have nothing to lose and you may actually feel a lot better for it.

Please note that all sessions are CONFIDENTIAL.

Q: Will I have control during the session?

‘Hypnotherapy? Never! I don’t want anyone controlling my mind.’

This is a very common misconception of hypnotherapy. A hypnotised person is in full control of themselves. They are conscious and are fully aware of their environment. If the hypnotised person is given a suggestion that they don’t agree with, they can refuse or object and this will probably cause the person to come out of hypnosis all together. Therefore, hypnosis cannot MAKE anyone do anything they don’t want to do. It only helps the client to focus on goals that they wish to accomplish. YOU are always in control.

Q: Will I go "under" during hypnosis?

A lot of people fear that they will ‘go under’ whilst in deep hypnosis and will not be able to come ‘out of it’. Again- this is NOT THE CASE. The hypnotised person has compleate control and is able to come out of hypnosis whenever they wish. There may be occasions where the person under hypnosis is so relaxed they may fall asleep, but despite this, a person in a deep trance can always come out of hypnosis.

Q: Will I reveal my most hidden secrets during hypnosis?

Some people think that if they are hypnotised they may ‘reveal’ there hidden most secrets . Again, it is upto to the hypnotised party what information they may wish to reveal. The hypnotherapist can’t ‘make you’ reveal any information you don’t want to give.

Q: Will I forget things during or after the hypnosis session?

Whilst you may find that you drift off at times during hypnosis and therefore may not recall everything about the hypnosis- any information that you currently have in your memory cannot be ‘lost’.

Q: If Im more susceptible to being hypnotised, does this mean I have a weak mind or am gullible?

Strangely, there appears to be a common myth that only those who are gullible or weak minded can be hypnotised using hypnotherapy. Actually, quite the contrary is true. People who tend to be intelligent and are better at concentrating actually make the best hypnotic ‘subjects’ as they are actually better at controlling their minds and using visulisation techniques.

Q: Will I be asked to do or say embarrassing or humiliating things during hypnosis?

Many people have the misconception that hypnotherapy is similar to stage hypnotism. e.g. a hypnotist instructing someone to cluck like a chicken. People who volunteer for these type of stage shows are aware that they will be ‘clowning’ around in order to entertain the audience. A person under hypnosis will only do what they want to do. It is their choice. If a hypnotist asks a man to cluck like a chicken, the person may do so – knowing that he or she is standing in front of numerous audience members who want to be entertained. The client has total control over their actions.

Q: Is there anything I need to do before the therapy session?

The Simple answer is no. You just need to ensure that you turn up on time and try your best during your session.

Q: What is the HYPNO-BAND weight loss system?

The HYPNO-BAND System is a combination of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and hypnotherapy techniques that helps you explore, analyse and change your eating habits. Then using the mind/body connection we fit a "virtual gastric band" to your stomach, helping you to eat less and less often. The hypno band is featured often in the media and was recently featured in embarassing fat bodies where one of the women featured lost three stones!
