What if you could take control of your thoughts and feelings? Consciously and rationally you know how you want to think and feel in any particular situation but all too often your mind has other ideas. Thoughts and emotions can be allowed to go unchecked, sometimes becoming distressing and uncontrollable.
Using a combination of hypnosis and neuro-linguistic programming I'll help you resolve anxiety and fears, create good habits and smoothly navigate significant life transitions. I'll also give you practical tools and techniques to calm your mind and help you transform unwanted behaviours at a subconscious level, most people notice changes taking place quickly often after their first session.
At your first session, I’ll spend some time finding out about you, what you'd like to change and what you want to achieve. At each of your following sessions we'll discuss your progress and the new insights you’re discovering throughout the process and this is followed by your session of hypnosis tailored by myself to meet your needs and desired goals.
What to expect for the future
Clinical Hypnotherapy makes it possible to create positive thought processes and develop effective behaviours. You'll begin to notice good feelings within yourself simply because you've taken control of something that once had control of you. It's common for clients to experience an all-round sense of improvement as often the positive effects of hypnotherapy drifts into other parts of their lives pulling everything together creating emotional balance and feelings of calm.
How it works
During your session I'll guide you to a state of deep relaxation, your mind will calm down and stop bouncing from one thought to another. In this state, hypnosis creates the perfect conditions for your subconscious mind to accept positive suggestions to make it possible for you to achieve your goals such as break a bad habit, change an unwanted behaviour or overcome anxiety, trauma or phobia.
To give you an idea of how many sessions you'll need, treatment of phobias typically requires 2 sessions, other treatments for anxiety or trauma 4 to 6 sessions and menopause symptoms is a complete course of 4 sessions.

The CNHC encompasses many types of alternative therapy, including hypnotherapy.
In order to be admitted to the register a practitioner must have studied to the National Occupational Standards for that profession/discipline, or have reached the equivalent of the National Occupational Standards through other relevant training or at least three years of experience and been assessed by their peers.
A practitioner must also have professional insurance and agree to abide by the CNHC Code of Conduct, Performance and Ethics.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
