Sarah Perks DSFH HPD MNCH (Reg.)
Hi, I'm Sarah, a hypnotherapist working with people suffering from anxiety and stress, people who have lost their confidence and feel they are no longer in control of their lives.
Sometimes a phobia can stop you from following your dream, whether it's a trip of a lifetime or a new job. Often clients will say to me that they know they aren't happy, but they don't know how to make things better and move forward. My job is to help my clients get back control of their lives, to help them to regain their confidence and live their lives the way they want to.
Using a solution focused approach, I focus only on the future and how we can achieve positive outcomes, rather than dwelling on the past. I use a simple 5 step process which can turn people's lives around in as little as 6 weeks.
I help my clients to understand why they are suffering in the way they are, help them to set positive goals for the future, identify and undo any negative behaviour patterns that may be holding them back, create positive new behaviour patterns and habits and lock those in for permanent change.
So if you would like to find out more about how I work and if I can help, why not phone or text me to book your free initial consultation.

"Having had a fear of heights all my life, this naturally, became a fear of flying. I had not flown for over 45 years and the very thought of it was horrifying. My son had met a lovely Chilean girl and when he announced that they had got engaged, we, his parents, were delighted. Then he dropped the bombshell – the wedding would, naturally, be in Chile. He, knowing my problems, and knowing that his father would not go without me, tentatively asked if we would be able to attend. Well, he was our son – how could we not be there for him at his wedding? I knew I had to do something to overcome my fear of heights and, therefore, flying so I booked a hypnotherapy session with Sarah. This was one of the best decisions of my life. At the end of our sessions, I will admit that I was not entirely convinced that they had worked. The second bombshell my son dropped was that the wedding, initially scheduled for the end of the year had (for visa reasons) been brought forward to May! Well, we took the plunge and went ahead and booked the hotel and flights, hoping that I would not throw a complete wobbly on the plane. The realty was the complete opposite, I was totally relaxed and was even able to look out of the window! The view of the Andes as we approached Santiago Airport was amazing. We are going back again next year and can't wait! Thank you so much, Sarah, you have made such a difference to my life."

"With the loss of my mum and husband to cancer within 6 years of each other I was struggling to move forward and was putting things off because I was scared of the future and doing new things without my husband, like progressing my career and selling my house. With a four year old at home I couldn’t carry on like that and was stuck. ?When I read about Sarah I realised that I needed help to build up my self-confidence and to re learn almost how to organise my time better and look after “me."?Sarah is so easy to talk too and incredibly friendly. I instantly felt very comfortable in her presence. I soon realised that this is what I needed. I didn’t want to spend hours upon hours talking my problems through to a therapist, I needed someone who could help guide me to finding my own solutions on how I could best move forward. ?Sarah helped me see that I needed to believe in myself more, that all the tools were there to help myself but that I just needed a little help from her. She helped me realise I should be congratulating myself for my achievements and not berating myself for not having done more. ?After seven sessions I am so much more positive about the future, I feel generally much happier. I get things done now and no longer procrastinate like I used to, and it now feels so good when I get things ticked off my list that my lists are shorter than ever! With the help of the hypnosis I feel calmer and generally more content. My head was full before I met Sarah but I am able to deal with things much better and the anger I felt after losing my husband and mother has subsided. I am a happier person therefore my son is happier and is doing extremely well. I’ve realised that when it comes to mental health, good mental health is priceless. Thank you Sarah. I shall continue to see Sarah for top up sessions because I believe it has been so valuable.”

"I was sceptical about hypnotherapy, lacking in confidence and struggling at work and had lost my mo-jo having had a difficult few years so decided to give hypnotherapy a try. Sarah was so welcoming and made me realise very quickly that it was quite normal to feel like how I was. She explained how the brain works and that made sense as to how I was not coping. Sarah gave me tips and techniques to start feeling more positive about myself and listening to the download most nights really started to help as well as the hypnotherapy. I would highly recommend Sarah she was so easy to talk to and is a highly trained professional who in a short space of time made me feel so much better about myself and my future. The sessions are at her home in a very relaxing environment and I can’t thank her enough for helping me get back on the right track my future is now very positive and I’m in control."

"I decided to try hypnotherapy after a close relative had found it very helpful.I have had an extremely difficult three years, firstly losing my only brother to cancer and then my mother six months later.I decided to try hypnotherapy to help overcome my high levels of anxiety, depression and tiredness. I was hoping that it would give me a way forward and it certainly has. I recently completed six sessions of hypnotherapy with Sarah and although it was challenging at times, I am feeling more in control of my life and as a consequence my confidence levels are continuing to grow.Being advised to write three positive things every day has been very helpful which I am continuing to do. I found Sarah very easy to talk to and she was always non-judgemental in her approach. As a result I am concentrating on being more positive in order to reduce my levels of anxiety. The hypnotherapy has definitely changed my approach to life's problems. I now have strategies to help me and I feel more able to relax when I feel stressed. I would recommend Sarah as a very sensitive and caring therapist. She has made me realise that I have more strength than I thought and I am now able to move forward in the future in a more positive way."
