My fees for general hypnotherapy such as pain, confidence, stress, etc., will be £60 per session. I ask that my clients pay for both the first and last session on Day 1. The first session normally takes 30 minutes to include information gathering, working on a plan that works for the client such as how to proceed, for how many sessions and explaining how the client will be made aware of their progress then 60 minutes of hypnosis. I usually suggest 10 sessions but maintain the client is always in control of their therapy at all times and because I work alongside my client to teach them empowerment and self-help, 10 sessions are usually not going to occur.
Smoking cessation: My fee is £150 for one session. Frequently the smoker started at an early age because of peer pressure, rebellion or thinking it was "cool" to do it. I use imaging hypnosis together with suggestions of becoming a non smoker and remaining one which has proved successful to my clients. Normally one session is all that is needed. If requested, I offer a booster session.
Hypno-Band Weight Loss: My fee is £400 and I generally work in 3 sessions. If you feel you have all you need after two sessions then there is no need to return. I support you throughout. Every person is different and I will work within your framework. I also provide a cd to help empower you. Self-image is a critical part of my work and the clients self-image and the body will tend to conform to that image. Hypnosis provides positive suggestions to decrease the desire for fatty foods and creates a desire for a healthy lifestyle.
What is the meaning of "Analytical" hypnotherapy and does it work:
Hypnosis is about the divided mind, the conscious and the subconscious mind. Our emotions are protected by the conscious mind, living well beneath the surface in the subconscious mind. Whenever you want to make changes, the conscious mind thinks for you while the subconscious mind feels for you. Ever have that feeling? That is why making changes you know are good are so difficult to do, like losing weight or stop smoking. Therefore, to make long term beneficial changes, they need to be done with the subconscious feeling level. People undergoing analytical therapy are often very surprised by the clarity of memory and the authentic emotional release that can take place when we work at this level. I have worked with people who could hardly breathe because they had accumulated so much tension in their chest who have walked out after a single session visibly relaxed smiling and able to breathe easily again. This isn't how it unfolds for everyone on every occasion, but if the time is right a sizeable chunk of accumulated lifetime tension can be released in moments. It's a beautiful thing when that happens.
It should be noted then that analytical hypnotherapy can be emotional work but it can also be very beautiful work. Much of the time we can positively process and heal the material that arises in a session right there and then. Sometimes it takes a little time to filter through your system. We may experience some residual grief, or residual anger, but since the way I work is focused so strongly on being kind to oneself, and teaching my clients the same, then this is usually a relatively gentle and cleansing experience that doesn't last very long. More often it simply takes a little time to adjust to feeling differently. If you've spent a lifetime "engineering" around your problem and suddenly you don't have to any more, as positive as that is, it still requires some adjustment. This is process, and it's ultimately a good thing. This is what deep change feels like. Something that arises sometimes following this kind of work is that the client will grieve a little for lost time. This is not regret that they did the work of healing but regret that they hadn't done it sooner, that is, regret that they'd carried a weight, unnecessarily, for so long. So, yes, it can be emotional, but if practiced with proper understanding it is ultimately a very positive experience.
