Its secondary aim is to support Hypnotherapists in their businesses by encouraging good practice and self-care.

A practitioner must also have professional insurance and agree to abide by the CNHC Code of Conduct, Performance and Ethics.

Areas of hypnotherapy I deal with

Information about health conditions (*)

Hypnotherapy can enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting hypnotherapy.

Other areas of hypnotherapy I deal with

I also work with Children's issues. When our children are suffering this can cause us a great deal of anxiety. If you are concerned that your child is not sleeping, is worrying about going to school, often has a tummy ache, is not making friends or is being bullied then hypnotherapy can really help. Children are very receptive to hypnotherapy, they are more flexible in changing their perspective than adults. In hypnotherapy we use metaphor which is just like story telling and is a very familiar way to learn. It can help to give them a different perspective on life; a less stressed perspective. Visualisation techniques can also help. Using the imagination can allow children to picture themselves achieving life as they would like to achieve it.

Fees

My fees are £60 per session. Sessions generally last about an hour. I start with an initial consultation. This is where we can look at what issues you are dealing with and how you would like life to be. I will give you a free audio and I will ask you to play this each night before you start the first session.

Subsequent sessions will look at the progress you are making, solutions that you can use in going forward and a guided trance session to consolidate the discussion.

On average we would expect that a series of between 8 - 12 sessions would be required to make and maintain positive changes as we are focusing on changing the habits in our subconscious brain. This would be entirely dependent on the circumstances and people all learn at different speeds.

If a hypnotherapist's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the hypnotherapist to discuss the options available.
