About me
Specialising in : Imposter Syndrome - Poor Boundaries - Anxiety and more
I mainly see clients who have had difficult relationships in the past, be it with their parent or parents, siblings or romantic relationships and as a result, they find themselves feeling hypervigilant to stressful and anxious situations, having very poor boundaries, low self-worth and esteem, finding it difficult to trust another person, not deserving success and more. Coupled with 'why me?' or 'what's wrong with me?'. These learnt beliefs from the past are now driving their daily behaviours and perception and this will ultimately have an influence on the decisions for the future: the emotional circle goes round and round.
"My Sessions with Sabina have been a great experience. Sabina is a brilliant hypnotherapist who listened to me very attentively, picking up on really minute details during the first consultation. Sabina has a thorough approach in the way she assesses the problem and reviews the issue from many angles. An amazing lady who really goes above and beyond to help with your problem."
How Can Hypnotherapy and EMDR Help?
We understand that negative emotions can be 'parked' in the brain that remain there and act as a trigger to the past event when a similar event occurs: the same emotions are felt. However through hypnotherapy and EMDR those initial emotions, be them fear, imposter syndrome, not being good enough, hurt, deep sadness and so on can now be correctly processed so that the influence of the past is lessened. Hypnotherapy encourages self-esteem, and confidence to set those boundaries calmly and firmly, to allow the person to feel they can flourish and enjoy a life that they want to follow.

Further information
22 years in Complementary Therapy has led me to understand the complexities and influence of feelings, habits and emotions and how they can affect general health. Boundaries, for me as a therapist, has to be one of the most important areas of our lives to establish.
Boundaries allow us to flourish and be able to build good relationships with people and to feel respected. Setting them, however requires, confidence, self worth and an inner calm belief in ones self, which is often missing in those who have grown up in a difficult and challenging environment. As confidence and self esteem grows so does the small, but progressive steps of setting boundaries. This give clarity to people who we interact with, and they help to give clear guide lines of how one would like to be spoken to and treated. Boundaries honour our own needs and create an environment of respectfulness.
