About me

During this time of COVID 19 you may be feeling more anxious than ever. At time like this we have many ruminating thoughts, feelings of panic and isolation. O ar you Experiencing any of these: Confused? Bewildered? Addicted? Sad? Stressed? Afraid? Overwhelmed? Overweight? Alone?

Life is not simple and I am not a stranger to trauma and difficulty myself. As a Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist I offer the opportunity to be heard and and to relax in a safe, professional yet personal and sincere environment. I also offer online sessions at this time. With experience in many roles in the field of psychology, counselling and a passion for people development, I offer hypnotherapy and counselling based on sound ethical principles. I am also qualified as a nutritional therapist, and I strongly recommend good nutrition as a first step in bringing about change. I offer short and long term therapy.

I have successfully worked with clients living through change, illness, trauma, relationship issues, fear, obsessive thoughts, weight and eating, panic and addictions.Examples include fear of travelling, chocolate and other food addictions, anxiety related to work or home stress and panic disorders. Having volunteered in a hospice where I have used hypnotherapy to help patients with their generalised anxiety relating to their illness and/or treatment such as needle phobias and nausea. In the same setting I have counselled many people who have faced the loss of loved ones. Should medical conditions become a concern during your therapy you will be referred to an appropriate medical practitioner.

A short note about myself: I was born in South Africa and have lived and worked in the UK for twelve years. I am married with three grown up children. I enjoy the countryside, especially exploring by bike and foot with my therapy dog Rosie at my side.

Your first session lasts one and a half hours and takes the form of a discussion to help ascertain any issues that may be bothering you, as well as to establish where your exact needs are. I have a real desire to see clients benefit from using their own mental resources to effect well-being and desired change in their lives. All therapy is confidential and aimed at meeting the needs of the client.
