About me

My name is Robert, and I am a fully qualified Hypnotherapist.

Hypnotherapy can help with problems such as, stress, shyness, low self-confidence, insomnia, fears and phobias as well as helping people to quit smoking and to lose weight. If you have a problem, which does not appear on this list then give me a call to discuss the problem you have and how we could best tackle it.

I have had many successes with my treatments. I am a blind hypnotherapist and I've helped with a variety of issues including spider fears, fear of water, stopping smoking and many more. On my website there is more information about conditions and disorders that can respond well to hypnotherapy.

Before beginning a course of treatment I would bring you in for a consultation in which I will endeavour to discover as much about your problem as possible, I would then be able to work out roughly how many sessions it will take to resolve the problem. This consultation is free and those for hypnotherapy can last around one hour. For stopping smoking, I would hope to resolve the issue within one session, therefore this session will be longer.

I am happy to chat about your options as to treatment etc, so please call me. I pride myself on being discreet so you can be assured that all we discuss is in the strictest of confidence. I do have an answer phone and messages are checked frequently, so if you do leave a message, I shall return your call as soon as possible. I look forward to hearing from you.

Testimonials from my clients

"I suppose like many smokers I’ve tried everything to stop smoking and like most smokers I’ve failed miserably. Hypnotherapy was suggested to me by a pal who had read an article about someone who stop the habit after having a hypnotherapy treatment.

I went along to see Bob and being honest I felt a little stupid as I am the sort of bloke who usually shies away from therapies and that kind of thing. Once Bob had put me at my ease, I felt like I was going to enjoy my session. Bob asked me about my hobbies, my favourite and least favourite colours etc, which I thought was quite strange, but soon found out why he wanted this information.

One of my main pastimes is gardening and after relaxing me he took me to a garden in my mind, this garden was suffering because of the amount of people smoking around the plants and trees, I also saw myself walking through the garden looking worse and worse as time went by.

After a while I was taken to a garden in which no one was smoking and the plants and trees thrived and I started to look better and better for not smoking. I know it might sound weird to some people, but it really did change things for me. I know Bob put certain suggestions in my mind during the session and when I left I felt different, in a good way. I still smoked for about three weeks, but all the time I was smoking, I found myself enjoying the experience less and less, after three weeks I had bought myself one of those e cigarettes.

I now don’t smoke real cigarettes and I no longer use my vapour cigarette either. I am so pleased that I went to see Bob, I feel much better in myself and my wallet feels better too. If you want to stop smoking and you’re really serious about it, hypnotherapy is the way forward."  Danny L.

Fear of Spiders:

"Since a child I have been scared of spiders. I could not go into a room if I knew there was a spider hanging in its web or sitting on the ceiling. I avoided going into the garden shed and the garage, which was at times very inconvenient as I would have to get my husband to remove any spiders in the garage so I could get the car out. I know it sounds ridiculous, but I found it difficult to even say the word spider, let alone look at one.

Meeting Bob as certainly changed all of that. I didn’t know what to expect with hypnotherapy as I had never thought about it before. I remember the first session, Bob had gotten an image of a spider on his computer and he asked me to look at it and tell him on a scale from one to ten just how bad it made me feel, ten being very bad and one being not so bad at all. I freaked out and couldn’t really look at the spider and gave it a ten out of ten.

After the first session was over, Bob asked me to look once more at the spider and this time I was able to look at it for a minute or so and I rated the fear factor as a five, which was a great improvement. I went back for another two sessions and I can now pick up small to medium spiders and can also sit in a room while a spider makes it way across the ceiling. I would like to explore where my fear came from and in the future I will book a few more sessions with Bob and rid myself of my fear once and for all. Thanks Bob." Dee H.

"When I first met Bob, I liked his relaxed friendly manner, which set my mind at ease as I wasn’t sure what to expect because I’ve never had hypnotherapy before. I came for treatment because although I enjoyed swimming and can swim quite well, I found myself lacking in self-confidence especially when other people watched me. I have always been like that and being honest it ruined my enjoyment and made me feel miserable.

I had four sessions with Bob and from the first session I discovered that things felt better. After each session of hypnotherapy I found my self-confidence improving and this meant I was able to enjoy my swimming no matter how many people watched me.

I would recommend hypnotherapy to anyone who wants to make positive changes in their lives. Hypnotherapy is a gentle relaxing form of therapy and if I ever wanted to improve other situations in my life, I would book with Bob again." Cole W.
