About me
Hello, I’m Richard,
I am committed to helping and understanding each individual client and genuinely care about each person I work with, to ensure you receive the best possible outcome and treatment available. I do this by providing a professional service and making sure that I am constantly up to date with the latest research into hypnosis and counselling. I look forward to meeting you!
I’ve helped people with a wide range of issues but recently I’ve been helping people with:
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Low self-esteem
- Alcohol dependency
- Body dysmorphia
Clients often appreciate having the opportunity to talk about things they haven’t spoken about before. It provides a 'dialogue' with the subconscious mind - this is the part of us that runs all our programs, such as patterns and behaviours. This is why it is so good for fears and phobias, habits and addictions, and so on.
The inner dialogue also means it can work very quickly so on average clients only need between 2-6 sessions (depending on the issue).
Clients often start feeling better from their very first season and you will always leave feeling refreshed and wide awake.
Each session will begin with a review of how things have developed between treatments, followed by the hypnosis, and an opportunity to talk about the experience and next steps.

Some of the key areas I work with:
Self-improvement
Is there something you would really like to achieve in your life? Perhaps you wish to move in a different career direction or move up to the next level. Perhaps you want to take control of your weight or stop that bad habit?
Trauma (PTSD), anxiety & distress
Are you constantly anxious and thinking about what will be or could have been? Do you feel trapped in your own thoughts? Do you feel like you are a burden to others? Do you feel locked in a pattern of rituals? Is pain controlling your life?
Phobias
Do you have a phobia that gets in the way of you being able to truly live life to the full? We all have the power to use our minds in the way we choose. We need to take control, rather than allowing our fears to dominate. Solution focused hypnotherapy will enable you to take control of your fears and phobias, allowing many new possibilities to open up.
A little about me
I live in Castlethorpe, near Milton Keynes with my wife and family. I graduated from University with a BA Hons degree in Sociology. I then went on to train as a teacher and taught at a variety of different schools for 30 years, before retraining as a Hypnotherapist and Counsellor. Having experienced my own mental health challenges I found a way through these, using hypnotherapy and counselling. The impact of the treatment I received was transformational and inspired me to help other people achieve their goals and peace of mind.

Testimonials
Sarah, Old Stratford - Dec 2021
Richard has been helping me to overcome anxiety and stress. I have found Richard to be professional and knowledgeable but also kind, honest and easy to taIk to. I recommend him highly.
Bev, Milton Keynes - Oct 2021
"At our first consultation Richard put me completely at ease by explaining the process of hypnotherapy very clearly. In the ensuing sessions that feeling of being very safe continued as Richard tailored the sessions using the information I had shared. I began to notice the impact after the first therapeutic session and each subsequent session improved my confidence and trust in myself. The hypnotherapy itself is extremely powerful, Richard is very sensitive and insightful and the whole experience has been incredibly beneficial in addressing my issues. I have no hesitation in recommending Remind MK to anyone seeking to deal with a damaging emotional issue or wanting to improve their mental health and wellbeing."
Daniel, Milton Keynes
I had suffered from depression for far too long before making the decision to see Richard. I can honestly say that it was the best thing I could have done. Richard was able to help me find for myself the issues in my life, which went back a long time, - issues that had caused me a great deal of anxiety for many years. From there, hypnotherapy allowed me to begin accepting the past and really look forward to the future. Richard is completely non-judgmental and his calm, professional manner put me at ease right from the start.
Eleanor, Willen, Milton Keynes
I found my sessions with Richard really useful. He has such a calming nature and is extremely easy to talk to. Richard discussed what my issues were and what I wanted to achieve and I really felt he cared about what I was saying. I wasn’t sure if I would feel a bit self conscious doing the hypnotherapy but Richard made me feel really comfortable and I actually found myself really relaxing into it. I couldn’t believe how quickly I went into a deep relaxation. It’s amazing how he managed this when I usually take so long to fall asleep and relax. Richard has given me the tools and confidence to work on things in my own time too, which feels really empowering.
Maisy, Nottingham (via zoom)
My session with Richard has really benefited me. After one session of hypnotherapy I have been able to stop biting my nails, which is something I’ve been trying to do for years. His calming nature made the topic easily approachable and I felt really comfortable the whole time. I now take forward the coping mechanisms he has taught me and apply them to everyday life. I’m grateful for the fact that I now have control over what was previously a big issue.
