About me

We are in such a strange and unsettling time. On my website you can find my tips for techniques you can use at home to help manage anxious feelings. I also have 2 free hypnosis recordings you can download for building your inner strength and helping you relax. See my website for all the details

Hope this helps.

My sessions continue as usual via Zoom.

I offer practical empowering help for your mental wellbeing using a modern evidence based approach.

Cognitive Hypnotherapy has evidence based research on it’s effectiveness for dealing with anxiety. If Anxiety is stopping you living the life you deserve book a FREE 60 minute no commitment session online/phone where you can explain your issues and understand the help I could offer. You can use this time to ask any questions and decide if you want to work together. These sessions can take place online or in person in Worthing

How I work

Our first session will look at identifying the pattern behind the behaviour you want to change and spend some time imagining what your future would look like without this. What would be different about your life and you in it?

This will allow me to put together a treatment plan targeted just to your needs.

As part of our sessions you will get:

  • A personalised hypnosis recording written just for you, listening to this will cement the changes we make in our sessions
  • Recommendations of things to read watch or listen to in between session that I think will help you
  • Written instructions for techniques you can use at home to empower you
  • I will offer you exceptionally high levels of support not only in our sessions but between session as needed.

Why choose me?

I discovered Cognitive Hypnotherapy when I used it myself for issues around anxiety, confidence and limiting beliefs. It has changed my perception of myself and through that the world around me massively. I felt passionate about sharing the benefits of this with others which led me to train as a Cognitive Hypnotherapist.  I have undergone extensive training and continue to add to my skills with ongoing training and research, I have many techniques available to me which means I can offer a very flexible approach targeted specifically to your needs.

Training, qualifications & experience

I trained in Cognitive Hypnotherapy with its founder Trevor Silvester at the internationally recognised Quest Institute at Regents University in London. Quest Institute is the only hypnotherapy organisation and training school that has evidence-based research specific to our model of therapy. Our in-house funded research project is listed with NICE in their research area.

I hold a Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma which is the first nationally accredited externally verified Hypnotherapy qualification, and an NLP Practitioner & Master Practitioner diploma. I am a member of QCHPA, CNHC and NCH and adhere to their strict codes of ethics.

Further information

Rachael is an instinctive therapist. Her approach is compassionate and sensitive but also highly intelligent. She was able to get to the heart of the matter very quickly using some skilled techniques. But I also felt she understood me and my particular problem and consequently I was very comfortable confiding in her. After two sessions with Rachael, I felt much better and able to move forward with my life. I’d recommend her very highly.

“I highly recommend Rachael's services.  I was happy with a large part of my life, but there were some deep rooted issues that I'd known for a while I would benefit from if resolved.  But I wasn't sure how to go about this.  I ended up stumbling across Rachael's services and booking in some sessions. I'm so glad that I did.  She really helped me to get to the bottom of and understand the issues more, understand how and why they were impacting on my life, and she also equipped me with tools to enable me to approach things differently so that they didn't influence my day-to-day anymore.  Very happy with the support that I received.

Rachael is very calm, warm and she made me feel comfortable from the start. I can only thank her very much for the wonderful work and support she has done with me to overcome fears and anxieties that were affecting my life.

She is personal, thoughtful and caring making you feel like she is really invested in your progress and development. Rachael’s kindness and wisdom has helped me realise what I need to do to stay on top of my busy life without beating myself up or burying my head in the sand. I can’t thank her enough for trying out various techniques to find out what worked best for me.”
