About us
Lisa is a PTSD Specialist and Trauma Release Therapist, working in particular with its impact on children and young people, and providing support and a psychotherapeutic package to professionals in specific fields such as the armed forces, NHS, blue-light responders, emergency services and midwives.
Alongside her are a team of highly trained, qualified and knowledgeable professionals also providing mental health awareness and well-being sessions, solutions and trauma release knowledge to the British Army, Royal Air Force, the Royal British Legion and corporate organisations including the BBC, utilising 1:1 sessions, group work and training courses.
Lisa is also the founder and clinical lead for the Purple Octopus Project. The Purple Octopus Project delivers a psychotherapeutic programme to enable, empower and educate clients, including access to resilience-building and mindfulness classes and workshops, providing support and knowledge to a wide community of children and young adults, from 5 to 24 years old, in the South East and London.
Our bespoke programme has been specifically designed to support children and young people, which is delivered as a paid service to many statutory organisations throughout Kent, including Early Help Teams, CYPMHS, Social Services, Virtual School (Kent) and Ashford Borough Council. Our programme has been designed to offer advice, help and support through the Purple Octopus Project, not only helping children and young adults, but reaching out to teachers and support staff too. Teachers are empowered to help students and identify where there is potential for issues to arise, whilst both groups learn techniques to help them manage stress and anxiety in a no-nonsense and practical way.
Lisa and her team work with children and young people, adults, military personnel, their families, carers and civilians. With first hand experience of the challenges and life-long implications of significant stress and/or trauma, they are dedicated to implementing change to create a positive future and hope.
