About me
At Clifton Down Hypnotherapy I practise Solution Focused Hypnotherapy
In this form of hypnotherapy we use a cognitive approach together with hypnotherapy to move towards your required goals.
Solution Focused Hypnotherapy encourages you to use resources already within yourself to make the changes you require. We achieve this by focusing on the solutions rather than dwelling on problems of the past.
It is commonly assumed that you can explain your problems to the hypnotherapist who is able to hypnotize them away, but this is not the case.
Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is very much a partnership and joint effort between you and the hypnotherapist.
The hypnotherapist requires you to focus on the solutions which enables the hypnotherapist to help you make the necessary changes.
