About me

I am a fully qualified cognitive behavioural, solution focused clinical hypnotherapist and NLP practitioner. I help using effective practical techniques that help people cope with chronic stress, help people deal with fear and help people reduce anxiety.

I have a military background and was an airport firefighter before becoming interested in health and retraining as a clinical hypnotherapist. I am also a health coach with a certificate in naturopathic nutrition and I have also learned the skills required to be a clinical live blood microscopist.

I qualified from the Anglo European College of Therapeutic Hypnosis (AECTH) in 2014. Under the tutelage of Adam Eason, author of 'The Science of Self Hypnosis', my approach is straight forward and grounded in science. (http://www.adam-eason.com). At AECTH I attained the Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma, (considered the gold standard in hypnotherapy training in the UK) and also the Neuro Linguistic Programming Practitioners Certificate.

I provide a professional, confidential service, and a safe, supportive space, even if it is currently a virtual space, to enable you to talk about your challenges and to explore together your current situation, so that we can create an effective plan to achieve your desired outcomes.

I see all kinds of clients but particularly those who may be slightly sceptical of hypnotherapy and wether it can actually work for them. I have even helped people without actually using any formal hypnotherapy by simply practicing practical skills and techniques that anyone can use in stressful triggering situations to great effect.

Information about health conditions (*)

Hypnotherapy can enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting hypnotherapy.

How much do I charge?

My session fees are currently £45ph

If, as a result of the current situation you are struggling financially and need help, I am offering reduced rates for those who really need it.

Please drop me an email letting me know a bit about yourself and your situation. email pete@sumtotalhealth.com

How many sessions will you need?

It really depends on the nature of your issue(s)/ challenge and your commitment to over coming your challenge. Sometimes even long standing issues can be resolved successfully in one session if you are committed and highly motivated to change.

Usually, I see clients for around 4 sessions as this allows enough time in-between sessions for new habits to be practiced, established and for any stumbling blocks to be identified and addressed.

How to book a session

eMAIL pete@sumtotalhealth.com

I offer a free, no obligation, telephone chat with potential clients to get an idea of the issue(s), what outcomes you are looking to achieve and confirm whether I think I can help.

I can also answer any questions you might have, and address any worries you might have about hypnotherapy and seeing a hypnotherapist.

I also use this opportunity to iron out any misconceptions about what hypnotherapy is and isn't.

Most importantly, it gives you a chance to get a feel for me and decide whether or not you think I seem like the right therapist for you. Therapist/client rapport is a key factor in all successful therapy.

Once you are booked in, I will send you an email with all the information you need before your first session.
