About me

Hi, I'm Pen, a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist. I offer hypnotherapy to help women manage their hormonal journey throughout the reproductive life cycle. From fertility to menopause and everything in between! As a midwife of 20+ years, specialising in perinatal mental health and working part time as a specialist midwife in this area, I combine all my knowledge and experience to help reduce and prevent the impact of postnatal depression and anxiety during this time. I run hypno-birthing and other postnatal courses with a Solution Focused hypnotherapy approach.

I also work with clients from young to old, helping to relieve anxiety, depression and other mental health disorders. Working with PTSD and trauma, anxiety and depression and hormonal balancing.

Solution Focused hypnotherapy is an extremely effective and positive psychotherapy which helps both the mind and the body. It will help you to manage your reactions and actions in a positive and controlled manner leaving a sense of wellbeing and self control within. It has long lasting reaches and positively affects so many different aspects of life that you may be surprised at how easily you can make changes that are right for you and those around you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I trained at the CPHT Kent school, attaining my DFSH in Jan 2022. I have worked ever since with many clients from children to adults for many different reasons with wonderful results. I also have a diploma in holistic massage which I received in 2008. I am a trained midwife from 2001 - 2022. I worked in the last few years of my midwife career as a specialist midwife in perinatal mental health alongside the local NHS mental health services. As a midwife I have been extremely fortunate to have met with and worked with so many women and their families which has been a true education and often a humbling experience. This helps to back up my current role as a therapist.

CLIENT TESTIMONIALS:

"There are so many hypnobirthing courses out there, but I think Pen has the perfect background for this as she has experience as both a midwife and now a hypnotherapist to back her course. This shows in the vast amount of knowledge and advice she has to give. It gave me confidence to ask some of the tougher questions and I felt Pen gave great advice, considering all options."

"I had hypnotherapy to help me with anxiety and depression and honestly, it changed my life for the better. I felt there was no escape from these feelings. Hypnotherapy has turned things around for me greatly. My OCD has died down massively and it has helped me through the very rough time at school. I strongly recommend this to anyone who is having feelings like this. It will change your life for the better."

" Hypnotherapy has helped me reach my goal by making me feel calmer and having more control of my own mind and thoughts. Since having hypnotherapy, I feel the ability to live in the moment more and not worry about the future."
