About me

Hypnotherapy is a safe and gentle approach for the effective treatment of anxiety and stress related issues such as insomnia, IBS, phobias, panic attacks, performance anxiety, exam and interview nerves, confidence and low self esteem.

Using a combination of deep relaxation techniques and psychotherapy you can become a calmer and more confident person, sleep better, let go of worries, clear your mind and begin to live your life more fully.

Your mind has incredible power to overcome difficulties and make rapid change. Sometimes you just need a little help getting there.

If you feel that hypnotherapy could be for you please contact me on 07956 279188 or email me at paula@progressivetherapy.co.uk

What my clients say:

"From day one I was amazed how easily Paula understood each of my thoughts, my feelings and exactly what I meant, especially when English is not my mother language. I started to feel a change from my second session. My head became clear and fresh and I was able to deal with difficult situations rather than hide and feel stressed and anxious. I can handle difficulties now in a more logical and calm way. Paula transformed my life!" Eva, Manchester

"I had several sessions over 2-3 months with Paula to help with what I would describe as burnout from stress related to work and personal issues. I can honestly say the results have been great. Starting with just talking about it, through to personalised hypnotherapy recordings that can be accessed any time along with simple techniques for relieving anxiety and the concentrated hypno sessions, you are given support and resources which help in the long term. Paula has a great calming, relatable personality and was really able to understand the issues and come up with tailored set of sessions" Steve T, Manchester

All reviews are real and provable.

Do you want to break free from unwanted habits? Lose weight or stop smoking? Maybe it’s time to let go of a childish habit such as nail biting or hair pulling.
Hypnotherapy is a highly successful approach in helping to let go of unwanted behaviours. Our habits are seated in the subconscious mind. The focused awareness achieved through hypnotherapy allows us to directly work with the subconscious mind and begin to replace the old, destructive habit with new and healthier ones and allow our mind to visualise all the wonderful benefits of the new behaviours. Your reward!

"After suffering with a problem with excessive binge drinking for many years Paula helped me give it up fully. I have the session recorded so I can revisit it if I need a top up. Thanks so much! " Anon, Manchester

I work from comfortable and professional therapy rooms in St Peter’s Square and Chorlton, both convenient for Deansgate Castlefield, Ancoats, New Islington, Chorlton, Stretford, Sale, Old Trafford, and all areas of south and central Manchester. I’m available for daytime and evening appointments.

Due to Covid 19 restrictions I am also offering online sessions. The sessions can be over the telephone or on Zoom or a combination of both. Already many of my clients are engaging in online therapy as they find it more convenient, enjoy relaxing in the comfort of their own home and have found it just as effective as face to face.

Fees: £70 per session. The first session is usually one and half hours as I take a detailed case history, explain hypnotherapy and always like to include some pleasant relaxation at the end of the session. Subsequent sessions are an hour.

I'm happy to have a brief consultation over the phone first so you can be sure that hypnotherapy is for you and that we are a good fit.

Stop Smoking: £150 and is a 2 hour session.
