About me

Hello

I'm a UK-based hypnotherapist, working from Coventry in the West Midlands, committed to helping people free themselves from emotional pain, habits and fears in order to live happier and more fulfilling lives.

I offer a free 30 minute chat option so that you can find out more about how we can work together to achieve your goals. Call or text me on 07912 361268 if you would like to take advantage of this offer.

How I can help:

Weight reduction and virtual gastric band

I offer a comprehensive programme to help you make changes to permanently reduce your weight. The aim is for you to easily and naturally eat less whilst feeling even more satisfied and fulfilled than before. You will learn cutting-edge tools to stop cravings and we will work to resolve any underlying emotions that have been causing you to overeat, or to eat the wrong things. I offer Gastric Band Hypnosis if you have medical reasons for needing to achieve weight loss more rapidly.

Anxiety, panic and fears

Having worked through my own extreme fears, anxiety and depression caused by long-term post-traumatic stress, I know how debilitating anxiety, panic and fears can be. We will work together to help you reduce - and in many cases overcome - your anxieties whether they are general (such as Generalised Anxiety Disorder) or specific, as in the cases of panic or complex phobias such as agoraphobia or social phobia. I bring together a wide variety of approaches to help you achieve greater peace of mind as quickly as possible. These include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing.

Stop smoking and other addictions

I have completed specialist training in the use of hypnosis to stop smoking and other addictions, such as alcohol and recreational drugs. We will work together to agree an approach that works for you, based on your unique circumstances. Stop smoking sessions usually take place in one extended session (2 hours) which is part of a comprehensive package of treatment. My approach for all addictions recovery brings together a wide variety of tools and techniques to ensure you have the best chance of quitting and staying quit.

Phobias

If you have a simple phobia relating to one thing (such as an animal or situation like flying) then the good news is that these are usually relatively easy to change. One session is often all it takes. Contact me for further details about how we can resolve your specific phobia.

Confidence and self-esteem

If you need more confidence in a particular area of your life, or more generally, then we can work together to achieve this. Self-esteem and self-efficacy can also be linked to confidence and we can also work to build these.

Coaching and achieving your goals

I am also a qualified life coach and combine coaching with hypnosis for a programme to enable you to achieve more in any area of your life. This programme is for you if you are looking to break through blocks to advancing your career, starting or growing your own business, or achieving your life's dreams. It's never too late to start getting what you want in life!

Please call, text or email me to arrange a free 30 minute chat to talk about how we can work together to achieve what you want.

Following the Covid-19 lockdown, I am once again conducting face-to-face sessions at my clinic in Coventry, in line with current social distancing measures. I am still also seeing some clients by video call and find this an equally effective way of working, especially if you live outside of the Midlands or cannot leave your home at present.

I look forward to working with you to create the changes you want.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have completed the following Diplomas:

  • Clinical Hypnosis (from the ICH Clinical Hypnosis training).
  • Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing incorporating Hypnosis (John Dewar School of Hypnotherapy)

Testimonials:

Over the moon

"Paula, I am over the moon to have quit smoking after almost 60 years. I feel better, healthier and like I have a new lease of life" Steve, Bedworth, aged 70. Feb 2020

Very relaxing

"Paula taught me some invaluable coping skills that I’m sure will be used many times. These are also skills that I shall be passing on to my children for things like anxiety, anger etc Paulas knowledge and dedication is evident. She has an incredibly calming voice which I could quite happily relax to." Lindsay, Oxfordshire, April 2020

Disturbed sleep a thing of the past!
"For years I had trouble maintaining my sleep - I would often wake up in the middle of the night, not get back to sleep quickly and then be awake worrying for an hour or two. I am sleeping so much better now after hypnosis sessions with Paula. I usually sleep through the night and, if I do wake up, Paula has trained me to use a number of different techniques to calm my mind so that I get back to sleep quickly. Paula provided excellent explanations of the way the mind works so that I now understand my sleep patterns and also I can control my response to stress during the daytime." Jon, Dorset, April 2020

Calm in uncertainty
I had a great session with Paula. She had loads of helpful exercises to reduce anxiety and help restore calm. It was very relaxing and enjoyable. Elin, April 2020
