Is there something that is stopping you from enjoying your life? An issue or problem that is really starting to hold you back? It could be anxiety, stress, lack of confidence, a weight problem or just something that you can't quite explain.
You might be surprised when we chat, that I have dealt with a number of clients who have experienced the same issue. At the same time, you are unique and my approach to the issue you are experiencing will respect that.
Most of my clients come to me through recommendations from satisfied clients or through referrals from other therapists.
I am an experienced Cognitive Hypnotherapist. Whatever your reason for seeking help, I have a range of techniques that I can use to help you overcome your issue. I help my clients with physically and emotionally based problems. I specialise in helping women to control menopause symptoms including hot flushes, weight changes, loss of confidence and mood swings.
There is much more to cognitive hypnotherapy than being 'put to sleep' and waking up to find your problems gone. I will help you learn tools that you can use to take control of your emotional and mental state as well as dealing with the memories and thoughts that may have given rise to your issue.
If you are concerned about hypnosis and 'losing control' stop worrying now! You will experience a wonderful feeling of relaxation but you will be in control and I will not be asking you to do anything you don't want to.
I cannot say for certain how many sessions you will need as it will depend on what you are experiencing, but I generally see clients for between 2 and 6 sessions. I want you to start experiencing positive changes as quickly as possible and for those changes to be long lasting.
I have been interested in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) for many years. In 2009 I trained with the Quest Institute who, through Cognitive Hypnotherapy, bring together the best of NLP with hypnosis, positive psychology, eye movement integration, cognitive behavior therapy, eye movement integration and emotional freedom technique. I qualified with distinction.
Since then I have worked with clients on a range of issues including anxiety, weight loss, lack of confidence, phobias and low mood. More recently I have been helping women to take control of their menopause symptoms.
As well as my one-to-one work with clients I also regularly deliver workshops and courses on well-being subjects in Cambridge.
In December 2012 my award-winning book, 'Hot Women, Cool Solutions; How to control menopause symptoms using mind/body techniques', was published. Following feedback from women I published my second book, 'How to Survive Her Menopause; A practical guide to women's health for men'. This year I joined forces with a leading nutritionist, Jenny Tschiesche, to write 'Cool Recipes for Hot Women'. All of these titles are available on Amazon.

Areas of hypnotherapy I deal with
Information about health conditions (*)
Hypnotherapy can enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting hypnotherapy.

I want you to be sure that I am the right therapist for you and that I can help you. For that reason I offer a free, no-obligation 30 minute telephone or Skype consultation prior to booking a session.
In our initial session we can discuss how many sessions you are likely to need to achieve the best results.
The first session lasts for 90 minutes and includes a history take so that I can understand more about your issue and how you want to be without it. Subsequent sessions last for 60 minutes.
You can make payment by cash, cheque or bank transfer.
Cancellation within 48 hours will result in the client being charged the full fee.
I reserve some free appointments for women who are going through the experience of cancer. If you are undergoing treatment and you would like to understand how hypnotherapy could help you please contact me.
Gastric Band Hypnosis:
'Not only did Pat help me discover the real issues behind my overeating, she went on, when she knew I was ready, to give me gastric band hypnotherapy. Since then I have lost two stone and I can honestly say it's been effortless. I still have a long road ahead but I know that with Pat's support I will make it back to health and fitness.
Her sessions are held in a calm and relaxed atmosphere and there is nothing to fear in the hands of this expert. Go for it!" Mrs AW, Cambs
''I initially found Pat via her excellent website and after a thorough introductory session followed up with regular consultations over several months I have suffered with stress related anxiety and low self esteem problems on and off for many years and have had cognitive hypnotherapy on previous occasions and found it to be helpful so I had no fear of the process but Pat offers much more than just hypnotherapy. I found the sessions to be extremely helpful and instructive both for the anxiety and the depression (which almost inevitably follows) and she also provided recordings tailored specifically to my needs and follow up notes, strategies and coping mechanisms for me to work on in my own time. I found that this integrated approach worked well and together with the counselling she provided at each session it all helped me through a tough period . I would thoroughly recommend Pat ’s therapy to anyone with similar anxiety or depression problems. Thank you Pat.' Anne, Hertfordshire
'I have suffered really badly with anxiety and depression it consumed my life and until recently I saw no way out of the black hole and obsessional thoughts - someone suggested seeing Pat and I am so glad I did. She has not only changed the way I think but changed my outlook on problems, situations and my life! I knew our brains were amazing and powerful but I had no idea I could change the way I think for the better forever. I was anxious at first but Pat put me at ease in minutes, she listened and I knew she understood. Within a very short space of time condition seems to have lifted like a mist and I no longer fear thinking but I am enjoying living! I wish I had contacted her sooner and would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone and everyone I know.' S, Suffolk
'Thank you for making such a difference [to my fear of heights]. I am now much more confident and enjoying a marvellous holiday. I have been cliff walking without a qualm and enjoying meeting interesting people on this trip.' Mrs SH, Herts
'Just a few lines to thank you for making our holiday great. Not only was I able to go into the smaller airplanes and looked down but I enjoyed an elephant ride, walked over many bridges and even looked over the edge of the Victoria falls. Edges being what was my biggest fear. With your help now all the holiday experiences were undertaken with joy and enthusiasm instead of gritted determination (or not at all) . Thank you for changing my life for the better.' Mrs SG, Herts
'The confidence I found with you has really, really helped. I can just walk in and talk to strangers openly now and not worry at all about what they are thinking.' Mrs MM, Cambs
