Hi, I'm Nicolas, a London-based hypnotherapist and coach. I work with you as an individual, basing it on your unique needs. I adopt a holistic approach, finding the root cause of the issue, and balancing your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects.
In order to do this, I use a combination of clinical hypnotherapy and regression – both current-life regression (taking you back to an earlier time, e.g. childhood) and past-life regression – to resolve earlier issues.
I believe that, the wider the practitioner’s skill-set, the better prepared they are to assist you. As such, I am always learning and keeping my eyes and ears open for new techniques. I may then weave these other disciplines into the session if I feel that they would be beneficial – e.g. coaching (for setting goals), Reiki energy healing (for balancing and smoothing your energy), neuro-linguistic programming (as a complement to hypnotherapy).
Underpinning these skills are strong values based around respect, non-judgement, and compassion.
Why I do what I do
At the most basic level, I want to help people. I believe that, if we all take responsibility to develop our inner selves, we reconnect with our innate wisdom and potential. This leads to presence and fulfillment. The more people access this higher state, the more it tips the scales in favour of a better world. Maybe it’s a bit idealistic, but if we all dare to dream, imagine what we could create!
More practically, in this age when we are often stuck in our heads, we become disjointed and detached from who we are. I believe that it’s crucial to connect to the deeper wisdom of the mind – i.e. the head AND the body – and that will take us back towards being more fully resourced and living the lives that we truly want.
How hypnotherapy can help
As we go about our daily lives, we are all too often not aware of the programs and behaviours that we are running in the background. For instance, we can bring our awareness to our breath, but most of the time it happens without us being consciously involved. The same is true with other habits we may have picked up when we were younger.
We progress through life, and we find out that actually those programs and behaviours that served us so well ten years ago are actually now impeding our progress.
Hypnotherapy allows us to access different states of consciousness – and therefore the underlying programs and behaviours – so that we can make the changes necessary to having a happier and healthier life.
Who I work with
I work with a wide range of clients from different walks of life.
I work with individuals wanting hypnotherapy and coaching to help them break old habits, e.g. addiction, compulsive eating, smoking.
With my holistic approach, I have also worked with people who are asking themselves “is this it? Is this all that life has to offer?” Together, we embark on a journey of spiritual development and they discover what they need to powerfully and authentically step into themselves.
I also work with professionals, particularly at my clinic in the City, assisting individuals with topics such as stress or anxiety management, and confidence-building. I help them to reach their potential, and to find that rare and priceless creature: work/life balance. In addition, I work with ‘high potentials’, taking a deep and experiential approach to executive and leadership development.
The areas I cover
I work with a number of issues, often looking for the root cause so it can be healed. These issues include:
- Anxiety & Stress
- Anger Management
- Fears & Phobias
- Obsessions & Compulsions
- Smoking Cessation
- Weight & Body Image issues
- Sleep issues
- Confidence Boosting
- Ego Strengthening
- Sports Performance
- Past-Life Regression
- Spirit Release
- Self Hypnosis
More issues are listed on my website: http://www.nicolasmichaelides.co.uk/hypnotherapy/
I’m a big believer that, when finding a practitioner, it’s important to find someone that you gel with.
I offer a free no-obligation phone chat, typically 20-30 minutes long, during which we can discuss what you might want assistance with. It’s a nice way for us to get to know each other a little better, and – importantly – for you to hear the sound of my voice and see if it resonates with you in the right way.
After that, we decide whether we want to work together; if so, we find a mutually-agreeable date and time to meet.
You can get in touch via the website (http://www.nicolasmichaelides.co.uk/) or by phone (+44 7989 418887).
What to expect from a session
Sessions are usually two hours long. This allows you to step away from the hustle and bustle of life, and gift yourself some deep relaxation and healing.
A session will start with a casual 20-30 minute chat around your experience of what life is manifesting right now. Then, depending on what is discussed, we direct the session accordingly. I communicate with your unconscious mind (the part of you that guides you and looks after you) to ascertain the best course of action. The session is tailored to your needs on the day.
Doing the work in the session is one part of the equation; integrating the change into daily life is another. Following a session, I endeavour to give suggestions or coaching to aid that integration.
I am available at two locations: Hammersmith, in West London, on most days except Wednesdays and Sundays; and Monument, in the City of London, on Wednesday afternoon (2:30pm-8:30pm).
I aim to be flexible to accommodate busy schedules, and can find time / space outside of these days and times should the need arise. Home visits can also be arranged in special circumstances.
In Hammersmith, I work out of the Brackenbury Natural Health Clinic. The clinic is approximately 10 minutes walk from the following Tube stations: Hammersmith (Piccadilly, District, and Hammersmith & City lines); Ravenscourt Park (District line); and Goldhawk Road (Hammersmith & City line). There is street parking available, but there may be a charge on Mondays to Fridays (the parking payment system accepts credit cards).
In Monument, I work out of Light Centre Monument, a new therapy and yoga centre that opened in April 2017. The closest Tube station is Monument (District and Circles lines).
