About me

Our experienced and professional team are specialists in weight loss, anxiety, panic attacks, depression, addictions, phobias, smoking cessation and various other more complex issues. Our principal hypnotherapist, Naomi Hill, is a qualified Advanced Clinical Hypnotherapist as well as being the only licensed practitioner for the Hypno-Band system in this area (hypnotic gastric band procedure). She is a qualified KG Hypnobirthing Teacher, running regular classes and individual sessions, and is also a trained practitioner in NLP, which is used routinely with clients as an effective means of bringing about positive change. She has full enhanced disclosure enabling her to work with vulnerable adults and children, and routinely works with children at the practice from the age of five years.

Naomi is registered with both the National Council for Hypnotherapy and the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC), who work together to raise and maintain standards of practice in the UK. CNHC's register is approved as an Accredited Register by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care. This provides additional assurance that CNHC registrants meet the standards of patient safety and service quality. The General Medical Council guidance to doctors confirms that they are able to refer patients to practitioners on Accredited Registers. Also, the Department of Health has recommended that where people are looking for complementary healthcare therapists they use someone who is CNHC registered.

Naomi is able to offer a wide range of therapeutic services, including, but not limited to: sessions targeting anxiety and depression, a comprehensive weight management programme, smoking cessation, sports performance enhancement, and sessions for addictions, phobias, self esteem, and confidence, in addition to running regular Hypnobirthing classes across Scotland. She also has experience in dealing with more complex issues such as PTSD, sexual problems and eating disorders. She uses a combination of NLP, cognitive-behavioural and hypnosis techniques to provide a tailor-made treatment plan to tackle a variety of health issues, and will also provide clients with CDs as part of therapy, to listen to outside of sessions - which enhance and will help to accelerate positive changes.

Background

Naomi first began practicing many years ago in her clinic in the Midlands. At that time, she worked alongside several local nursing homes offering palliative treatments to long term sufferers of anxiety and depression. She also worked as a volunteer therapist with her local City Council, offering sessions to bereaved families in the area during their organised events.

Naomi has a great passion for helping others and she currently runs clinics in Ayr during the week, offering a variety of hypnotherapy techniques to enable clients to take back control in their lives. She holds an enhanced disclosure certificate, enabling her to work with vulnerable adults and children, and also works as a registered therapist alongside Anxiety UK, who offer concessionary rates to those on a low income.

As a busy and successful full time hypnotherapist, Naomi has a wealth of experience and treats every client with empathy and compassion. If you feel she may be the right therapist to help you with your problem, please do not hesitate to contact her, either by telephone, email or through the website or Facebook page for an informal discussion in confidence.

Information about health conditions (*)

Hypnotherapy can enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting hypnotherapy.

Fees

£80.00 per session

Additional information

Current fees for a session of Hypnotherapy for problems such as anxiety, depression, confidence issues etc., are £80 per session, which is payable on a session by session basis.

Sessions usually last around an hour, with the first session being up to 90 minutes – so as to incorporate an initial discussion and assessment of your needs, plus an initial session of hypnosis.

Because everyone is different, it's not always possible to be precise about how many sessions you will need but our therapist may be able to give you some guidance on this after our initial consultation. The aim of therapy is to empower and encourage independence, so that you can move forward confidently from therapy in as short a time as is safely possible. Naomi uses recognised clinical methods for assessing progress throughout the course of your treatment.

Smoking Cessation: A one-off 90 minute hypnotherapy session, plus mp3 to reinforce work done in your session, to listen to in the days and weeks that follow - £180. Our therapist is a registered therapist with Stop Smoking UK, the national smokers' information and advice service - their website can be viewed at www.stopsmokinguk.org, and is a valuable source of information for those looking to quit.

Hypno-Band or Hypnotherapy for weight loss: We offer two comprehensive approaches to weight management.  You will find more information on these via our website, or you are welcome to contact us directly.
