I offer Hypnotherapy, NLP, Past Life Regression Therapy, Anxiety Workshops, Life Coaching, Creative Visualisation and EFT. I practice Hypnotherapy based on the teachings of Milton H. Erickson, in a method which is unscripted and acknowledges and accommodates each person’s uniqueness, inner resources and individual needs.
Life has taught me how fragile, yet resilient we all are and how powerful healing can occur when we are willing to let go of past conditioning and limitation and meet ourselves and each other without prejudice or judgement, taking off the masks we hide behind because of our fears. I feel passionate about empowering people to take back control over their emotional health and well-being by providing them with the relevant tools to manage their feelings and supporting them in making more positive choices that bring about the lasting change they desire.
I work on the premise that all of us have an ‘inner knowing’ and access to the resources and answers we need to bring about the changes we desire when we are open and curious.
I love helping people to realize that they are powerful creators who can shape their own reality by paying close attention to their thoughts, setting intentions and focusing on positive outcomes.
All of the therapies I offer have helped me to move through very challenging times with more grace, confidence and compassion for myself and others, than would have been possible without the care and expertise of the wonderful therapists and teachers who have supported my development over the years. Because of these experiences, I can provide a heart-centred approach combined with a flexible, solution focussed method, which we will agree on together to ensure that it best suits your needs.

I am an experienced therapist, working with a diverse range of clients and issues.
For example, I have worked with young offenders at a YOI to support them in overcoming stress, insomnia, anxiety, grief, anger, self-defeating behaviour patterns and various other issues they presented me with, using a variety of therapeutic approaches. Since then I feel very passionate about helping young people to overcome their difficulties and thrive in these challenging times.
Having worked as a management consultant for many years, I understand the levels of stress and burnout that so many people are currently experiencing and enjoy supporting people in finding a way that leads back to a more balanced approach to life.
I love helping people with animal related phobias and fears to restore the joy of connecting and bringing people and animals back into harmony.
I can help with a wide range of issues and will refer you to another practitioner if I feel that I am not the best person to help you.

Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC)
The CNHC encompasses many types of alternative therapy, including hypnotherapy.
In order to be admitted to the register a practitioner must have studied to the National Occupational Standards for that profession/discipline, or have reached the equivalent of the National Occupational Standards through other relevant training or at least three years of experience and been assessed by their peers.
A practitioner must also have professional insurance and agree to abide by the CNHC Code of Conduct, Performance and Ethics.
The General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR)
Hypnotherapists may become members of the General Hypnotherapy Register if they satisfy certain criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements as determined from time to time by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC).
Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level.
All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

In a free, no obligation telephone consultation of approx. 15-20 minutes, (we will arrange a mutually convenient time), you have the opportunity to tell me what you would like help with and to find out a bit more about how I work and how I would propose to work with you. If you feel that my approach is a good fit for your needs, I will give you an estimate of how many sessions I think you are likely to need to resolve your issue and how much it is likely to cost you. My rates are reasonable and competitive but as with the therapy itself, there is no “one size fits all”.

Past Life Regression Therapy
More and more people are contacting me to ask about past life regression therapy.
People often mention that they have been wondering for a long time whether they have lived before and would like to explore the notion, or they have had recent experiences, e.g. with people they have recently met and feel like they "have known them forever".
It is my understanding that most of us who are alive today will have had several dozens of past lives, both as males and females. The idea behind reincarnation is that we get to experience everything from different perspectives, so that we can learn by experience, rectify past mistakes and become less judgemental, more tolerant, more forgiving and more joyful. We travel in "soul groups", which means that we will share many life times with the same souls playing different roles. For example your husband in this life may have been your mother in a previous life. Always, our primary reason for being here is to give and receive love and to learn how our actions in the past would have impacted another person.
Many of us will also have future lives on Earth, so this lifetime can be seen as a preparation for the next.
Many books have been published on the subject and "Many Lives, Many Masters" and "Only Love is Real", both by Dr. Brian Weiss are just two that I would recommend to anyone who is interested in exploring the benefit of past life regression.
If you decide to have a session, it is worth knowing that you may not regress back to a past life during your first attempt. Your subconscious is in charge and will take you exactly where you need to go, which may be an event in this life, which is still creating a block to your development. Once this block has been cleared, there are generally no further obstacles to going back to a past life.
Whether you decide to have a session purely out of interest or with a specific question in mind, it is a good idea to treat it as a therapeutic process to get the full benefit. It is important to let the experience "settle" and have some quiet, restful time afterwards, rather than carrying on with a busy schedule or time with friends, talking about the experience. Ideally that could wait until the following day ...
I have recently watched this fascinating video which I wanted to share, which demonstrates the workings of our soul, synchronicity, and the many influences that impact our lives and help us heal. When we become conscious of them and harness their potential for our learning and development, even life's difficulties and sorrows become part of a bigger picture, and a great adventure.

Anxiety is on the increase and even people who have successfully learnt to manage it in the past are again struggling, as recent events feel overwhelming and traumatic and the situation we find ourselves in individually and collectively is without precedent in terms of the uncertainty we face.
More than ever we are called upon to be peaceful and compassionate, kind to ourselves and each other, so that we can create the better world that we all dream of for ourselves, our children and grand-children.
I now offer experiential workshops in small groups (up to six participants) to teach coping strategies for anxiety and stress, that will help you to manage your emotions and put the triggers (e.g. events, other people's reactions) into perspective.
Groups may be made up of families and friends or work colleagues who would like to learn how to help themselves and support each other in applying the strategies when needed. It is true of most people that they forget how to nourish themselves when they most need it. Learning these skills in a group of people that you have regular contact with so that you can remind and help each other, can be a very nurturing, mutually supportive experience.
