Martin Neary Dip.Hyp. MIHA, MBIH, CNHC Approved
My name is Martin Neary, and I am a registered clinical hypnotherapist based in Buckhurst Hill, Essex in the UK.
I qualified in Ireland in 2009 at the Irish Hypnotherapy Association. I also studied medical Hypnotherapy at HTI in London under Dr. John Butler. I have also studied in depth the techniques of Gerald Kein who is one of the world's leading experts in age regression. He also discovered Ultra-Height, an amazingly powerful tool in hypnosis.
I specialise in age regression hypnotherapy, which helps greatly in the speedy resolution of conditions such as phobias, fears, anger management, low self-esteem, panic attacks, depression, and some weight related issues, to mention but a few.
Regression hypnotherapy is very efficient, most phobias for instance would require only one session, and I rarely need to see a client more than three times for any one problem, sometimes less.
Hypnotherapy is my passion, rather than simply my profession, and all you have to do is close your eyes and relax. To find out more about clinical hypnotherapy or to book a consultation please contact me or visit my website.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am able to work with children as young as six and teenagers, dealing with anything from thumb-sucking to bullying to helping with studying and exam nerves. Young people are under immense pressure to succeed today, sometimes they need a little help to get through it. Hypnotherapy can allow them to concentrate on their work without feeling the constant fear of failure.
I am a member of the following organisations:
- British Institute of Hypnotherapy (BIH)
- National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH)
- Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC)
Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council
The CNHC encompasses many types of alternative therapy, including hypnotherapy.
In order to be admitted to the register a practitioner must have studied to the National Occupational Standards for that profession/discipline, or have reached the equivalent of the National Occupational Standards through other relevant training or at least three years of experience and been assessed by their peers.
A practitioner must also have professional insurance and agree to abide by the CNHC Code of Conduct, Performance and Ethics.
National Council for Hypnotherapy
The National Council for Hypnotherapy holds one of the largest registers of independent Hypnotherapists in the United Kingdom and strives to maintain the highest standards among its members.
There is an agreed Code of Conduct, an established Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure and all members are obliged to maintain comprehensive Public Liability & Professional Indemnity Insurance, maintain regular CPD (continuing professional development) hours, and attend Supervision when needed.
Accredited register membership
Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
