Marie Howie BA Hons., PGCert., DipAH., GQHP, MCIPD, GHR (Reg)
As an Analytical Hypnotherapist I use hypnotherapy, to help overcome those life problems that prevent us from being who we want to be. Conditions such as anxiety, depression, fears and phobias can cause distress and panic, hypnotherapy can help alleviate or delete those feelings. Hypnotherpay can also be used to successfully treats addictions, including alcohol, gambling and smoking. It is particulalry effective in helping with weight loss especially with the hypno gastric band technique.
At HLS, you can be assured of 100% confidentiality and commitment.I take a client centred approach where through hypnotherapy and other approaches I enable each client to tap into their inner resources to overcome any core issues or problems.I combine my professional training with empathy and kindness to put my clients at ease in a relaxed and comfortable environment.
Some of the common types of problems people seek help with are:

The General Hypnotherapy Register
Hypnotherapists may become members of the General Hypnotherapy Register if they satisfy certain criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements as determined from time to time by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC).
Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level.
All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.

Information about health conditions (*)
Hypnotherapy can enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting hypnotherapy.
Other areas of hypnotherapy I deal with
- Hypnotherapy session - £55
- Smoking cessation - £90 for the first session; £50 for 2nd or 3rd session (if needed)
- Hypnotherapy session between 10am-1pm - £45
- Hypno Gastic Band around £350 in total
First appointments include a thorough consultation/assessment to ensure therapy is tailored to your needs and usually takes 1 1/2 hours. Follow-up appointments are between 45 minutes and an hour.
10 am until 8 pm by appointment , Monday to Friday and 10 am until 1.00 pm Saturday
I have a particular interest in working with children and women. There are many children's problems that hypnotherapy can help with as surprisingly large percentage of childhood complaints stem from unresolved emotional issues. I also have a great interest in supporting women with issues that specifically relate to them such as: PMT, unexplained infertility and IVF, pregnancy, labour and birth, menopause, etc,
