HOW I WORK
The first session is always two hours as I like to take a detailed case history before beginning any therapeutic hypnotherapy. After that, subsequent appointments are 90 minutes. I see people fortnightly.
Also, I never book more than four sessions in advance. This takes you through eight weeks and at the end of that time, most people will see substantial changes. At this point I like to review the situation with you.
If you require any subsequent sessions, these can be arranged to suit your individual needs. You may prefer to come in every three or four weeks or every three or four months. Some people don’t need to attend on a regular basis at all,and can book in as and when they feel the need.
STAYING IN TOUCH
Clients can ring me any day after 1pm. It’s part of the package and you are not abandoned between sessions and should feel free to call. I also send email reminders after each session with a summary of what we discussed as it helps to remember everything afterwards.
Email or telephone for appointments. Do leave a message if my answerphone is on as I will always get back to you. Also please state whether you want to see me in Cobham, Surrey or Harley Street, London.
I should point out that everything we discuss is absolutely confidential.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or would like more information. I will be happy to help further.

HOW HYPNOTHERAPY WORKS
I treat a wide range of issues including weight loss, anxiety and panic, building confidence as well as helping to minimise nervousness before exams, tests and public speaking. I also see people in couples or singly, who want support to improve their relationship.
Our minds work on two levels, the conscious and the unconscious. Your unconscious mind is extraordinarily powerful and stores your memories. This includes rituals - patterns of behaviour and thoughts that belong in the past. Every time a thought or behaviour is repeated, it is reinforced.
We make decisions, think and act with our conscious mind which is all reason and logic. The unconscious mind runs purely on emotion and has no concept of time. Were the problems just in your conscious mind you could deal with them this minute.
Hypnotherapy is effective because it can access the unconscious mind and empower you to make changes. You may experience feelings that are out of date and belong to a different time and place but the unconscious mind does not take account of this.
It’s triggered to prompt thoughts and behaviours that make you react the same the way you always have in certain situations. The purpose of hypnotherapy is to change limiting patterns which are no longer relevant to your life today.
Very little happens in isolation and most issues are linked because they inevitably share the same emotional drives that lie within the unconscious mind. Reaching the unconscious through hypnotherapy enables you to disconnect unwanted thoughts, feelings and behaviours that are no longer relevant to your life today. Often, releasing this emotional debris sorts out other concerns at the same time.
Bringing balance back into your world and leaving emotional baggage behind is to take control of your thoughts, emotions and behaviours. You cannot change the past but you change the way you react. Discovering confidence completely changes almost every aspect of life and we all have the power to choose the life we want to live as the person we be.
I was interviewed by Lydia Slater of the Daily Mail who had hypnotherapy for weight loss sessions with me. You can read the article on the Daily Mail website here
