I am passionate about working with people - my clients tell me that they enjoy their sessions and I am friendly and approachable.
I offer on-line appointments as well as face-to-face appointments in central Whitley Bay, conveniently located near free parking and next to 2 metro stations.
I work with people who may be experiencing anxiety, poor confidence, feeling "stuck", imposter syndrome, women's health issues including menopause and hypnobirthing, grief, phobias and disordered eating. People like YOU!
Whatever the reason someone comes to see me they all have one thing in common, they are inspired to change. To cope better and be better.
If you have any questions at all about how I can help you - please do not hesitate to get in touch. I look forward to connecting with you!

Training, qualifications & experience
I am qualified as a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist with a Higher Professional Diploma from the UK's leading school (CPHT). I have completed further study since qualifying in the area of weight management.
I have 20 years experience as a state registered Occupational Therapist. I am registered on the Health Professions register (HCPC). My role is around seeing the strengths each patient has and helping them to reach their own goals. Currently I work for Macmillan in the community. I am comfortable with difficult conversations and circumstances - there is not much which I have not come across before.
I am DBS checked and registered with the Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapists as well as the National Council for Hypnotherapy. I undertake regular supervision and continuous learning.
Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy
The Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH) was set up to provide information about a modern form of Hypnotherapy and its associated benefits to members of the public. The main aim of the AfSFH is to spread awareness of the benefits of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy. Its secondary aim is to support Hypnotherapists in their businesses by encouraging good practice and self-care.
National Council for Hypnotherapy
The National Council for Hypnotherapy holds one of the largest registers of independent Hypnotherapists in the United Kingdom and strives to maintain the highest standards among its members.
There is an agreed Code of Conduct, an established Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure and all members are obliged to maintain comprehensive Public Liability & Professional Indemnity Insurance, maintain regular CPD (continuing professional development) hours, and attend Supervision when needed.
Areas of hypnotherapy I deal with
Information about health conditions (*)
Hypnotherapy can enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting hypnotherapy.
£80.00 per session
Free initial in-person, telephone or online session
I offer a free initial consultation, download and monthly newsletter. Sessions are £80 per hour although I offer a package of 6 sessions for a reduced price of £400. Smoking cessation is a single longer session of around 2 hours for £200.
Please contact me if you have any special requests as I may be able to accommodate these on an individual basis.
What happens when you contact me?
I am happy to answer any questions you might have. I offer a free, no obligation initial consultation to discuss how I can help. I also give you information about how our minds work to empower you to understand why our brains work in the way they do and how we can make changes to make life better. I will also give you a free download to relax and reinforce work outside the sessions.
Why Solution Focused?
It means we don't have to unpick past problems (that can make us feel low in itself!) - we focus on how you want your future to be....and how to get there!
How many sessions will I need?
A phobia will generally take 3 sessions. Generally 8-12 sessions are enough for most concerns. However everyone is an individual and some people have more whilst others have less.
How often should I have sessions?
Most clients initially opt for weekly - sometimes moving to fortnightly. Some clients book in for single top ups because they enjoy the sessions and treat them as self care; much like a massage for the mind!
What is trance?
Its perfectly normal and safe. We actually go into trance many times a day naturally such as when we are driving or watching TV! Trance is a very relaxing experience which gives us access to the subconscious to help you process the information from the session.
Have I had hypnotherapy?
Yes I have - I had hypnotherapy for chronic depression. I was so impressed with the results thats why I trained myself.
Do you have client testimonials?
Yes I do - and I really value the feedback I get. You can find reviews on my Facebook page Inspired To Change Whitley Bay @hypnotherapywhitleybay
Is on line therapy effective?
Online therapy is just as effective as face to face. I offer both and it really is a matter of individual preference.
