About me

I am a fully qualified Cognitive Hypnotherapist based in a small village just outside Shrewsbury, Shropshire.

My passion is helping people to help themselves in making positive change in their lives.

We all have the ability to make change happen, but sometimes we all need someone to walk beside us at the start of our journey.

I believe that with the right toolkit of skills that I have and can pass on to you, that journey can be made easier and more enjoyable.

My 12 years experience using counselling skills with a national childbirth charity means that I also have a great interest in hypnosis in childbirth.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a fully qualified Cognitive Hypnotherapist and have the Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma (HPD) the first nationally accredited hypnotherapy qualification.

I was trained by the renowned therapist, trainer and author, Trevor Silvester at the Quest Institute in London. It is an internationally recognised training school and is known as the home of Cognitive Hypnotherapy.

In addition I am a certified Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) Practitioner and a certified Confident Childbirth Hypnobirthing Practitioner.

I am a member of the NCH and the CNHC.

Further information

What some of my clients have said about me:

Cognitive Hypnotherapy.

"Many thanks Louise for my pre-operation consultation and equipping me with the tools to self meditate into a stress and panic free state. When imagining how I would cope with being in hospital for my op, it always involved moderate to severe hysteria at a certain level (!): I was however calm, in control and confident in the week leading up to it and particularly as I walked to the anaesthetic room. You have truly equipped me with a technique that is transferable to many stressful situations. I particularly commend your professional, calm and engaging manner and cannot recommend you highly enough."

"Louise was recommended by a friend to help our 12 year old who had developed a habit which was proving detrimental. At our first meeting, both my daughter and I instantly felt comfortable with Louise and her warm and gentle manner made it very easy to discuss the problem with her. Subsequently our daughter has had several one-to-one sessions with Louise with extremely positive results.
Our daughter built up a very easy relationship with Louise and has said she would definitely wish to see Louise again should her problem recur. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Louise to any of our friends or family."

Confident Childbirth Hypnobirthing.

"It really was a magical experience, which I can look back on with happiness and pride. It was exactly the feeling I wanted when I came to our first session, to not be terrified, but excited and open to the possibility that labour could be an amazing experience. Thank you for preparing me for that so my body was able to do what was needed to make this happen!"
