About me

If you find yourself struggling with stress or anxiety, bad habits you need to change or overcome, fears or phobias or an inability to move forward or get on with things, Thinking Room could be just the place you are looking for,

Are you having a tough time with personal or professional relationships, are you too shy or lack the assertiveness to say no or speak up for yourself? Two things you should know. One, you are not alone and two, it is possible to change all that. I’ve worked with many people in a similar position and helped them move on, change their behaviour or gain the confidence to speak out. I’ve has also had great success around performance issues with professional golfers, olympic athletes, singers and actors.

With a background in education at all levels I’m happy to work with children and teenagers and will undertake family work and couple relationship work.

Clients come from a diverse range of backgrounds and ages with the youngest being 7 and the oldest being 89 (up to now!). It’s never too late to find out what impact working with me will have on your physical or mental health and wellbeing and how this can create positive benefits across all aspects of your life at home, work or play.

If you want or need to change your life in some way, you might wait a few days or just make an appointment and get started. I know that sometimes, making that appointment is the most difficult step so why not just call for a chat and explore your options free of charge. I think you will find our first discussion or meeting will be well worth your time. And, don’t worry if you don’t see the words you would use to describe your issues or concerns here. EVERYONE is different and one of the things I specialise in here at Thinking Room is treating you as an individual. I look forward to meeting you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I trained at the internationally renowned Quest Institute with Trevor Silvestor, author and acknowledged expert in Cognitive Hypnotherapy and Word Weaving.

My professional qualifications include the externally accredited HPD, Certificate in Cognitive Hypnotherapy and Word Weaving, Master Practitioner NLP and various Coaching and Training qualifications.

I belong to several professional bodies including the QCT Practitioners group QCHPTA, NCH, CNHC and continue to explore and undertake professional development courses to improve and expand my skill base including:

  • Accelerated Learning Techniques
  • Mind Body Connections to enhance health and well-being
  • Coaching
  • Training the Trainer Certificate
  • Mindful Meditation
  • Stress Management
  • Enhanced Disclosure Certificate
  • HPD
  • Cog Hyp Dip
  • MPNLP
  • Member of Institute of Enterprise and Entrepreneurs (IOEE)
  • Member Complimentary and Natural Health Council (MCNHC)
  • Fully Insured

I had a very long and active career within the charity and social enterprise world with extensive experience in education and health.  I worked as a director and development worker before becoming a freelance trainer and management consultant. Eventually, I combined all these aspects with qualifications as a QCT Practitioner and NLP Master Practitioner into Thinking Room.

Through Thinking Room, I can work  with individuals and business by offering a range of one to one and group solutions to very many health and wellbeing issues many of us face.

I ran my business Kingston Upon Thames covering London and the South East before moving to Scotland in 2007. I still work with some long standing clients in London and Skype and Zoom mean I don’t always have to hop on a train or plane so I am now working across Europe too.

I really enjoy working in partnership with others and have rolled out resilience and thinking skills courses in collaboration with some of the UK largest employers to schools, colleges and universities throughout the UK. I continue to work as a director for a social enterprise and volunteer whenever I can.
