About me

Welcome, my name is Liz Burton, Dip CHyp/NLP, SQHP, IEMT.   I love what I do and I'm passionate about helping you to have the best out of life.

I qualified as a hypnotherapist in 2004 and since then I have qualified as an NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) Master Practitioner, EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) Practitioner and IEMT (Integral Eye Movement Therapy) Practitioner. Altogether I have over 40 years experience of helping others as a nurse, midwife and hypnotherapist.

All of those years ago I came to work in the caring professions because I want to help others, I still do.  It is still my greatest passion and why I get out of bed in the morning!

My skills and experience mean that I can help a very wide range of problems as quickly as possible, whilst my medical background gives me a greater insight and understanding into the effects and symptoms of many conditions.

One size fits all treatment is seldom effective and so has no place in my practise.  Every one of my clients receives my undivided attention and is treated with sensitivity and respect as an individual with a bespoke treatment programme and absolute confidentiality.

I see clients from all over South Yorkshire, North Lincolnshire and North Nottinghamshire.  My premises are conveniently located just off the M18 in Edenthorpe which is also well served by a regular bus service from Doncaster centre and a short walk from Kirk Sandall railway station with regular trains from Doncaster and Scunthorpe mainline stations.

Situated in a quiet area of the village there is plenty of free parking and a peaceful, calm, friendly atmosphere.

Evening and weekend appointments are available and I always aim to achieve the desired outcome as soon as possible.  Home visits and Skype sessions are possible depending on the circumstances.

I also run half and whole day workshops on a variety of topics e.g. Stress Management, Emotional Freedom Technique, Confidence Building, Relaxation, for interested groups, businesses and organisations.

I believe everyone has the right to enjoy life, to feel confident, to be free of "stuff" that holds them back and to find contentment.   Let me help you to achieve all that you deserve - anything can change!

Hypnotherapists may become members of the General Hypnotherapy Register if they satisfy certain criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements as determined from time to time by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC).

Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level.

What my clients say

Having battled with my weight for more than 40 years and, like many people, trying every conceivable way to shed the pounds (except exercise of course), I turned to Liz for help. I have just completed my sessions and for the first time in many years my cravings have gone away. I am eating sensibly and healthily and I am motivated to exercise regularly. And by the way I am 22 lbs lighter. Liz perfectly blends professionalism with warmth and friendliness and her dedicated therapy room is cosy and inviting. A course of sessions with Liz may well transform your life.  S.B., Conisborough.

I had suffered with anxiety attacks for many years.  I have had four sessions with Liz and I can honestly say that I have had no attacks since then.  My mood swings have decreased too.  I would recommend Liz.  J.H., Doncaster.

Well I went to the dentist successfully and you deserve a big thank you for the way it went.  I was able to keep calm and go through the procedure.  You have made a huge difference to the way I can handle the experience and I admit that I would not have really believed it possible before seeing you.  A BIG thank you.  E.A., Westwoodside.

Just wanted to say a huge thank you for your wonderful therapy.  I had the most relaxing, easy, quick labour (3 hours in total) and had a beautiful baby boy.  Thank you again.  N.T., Doncaster.

Liz is a true professional, put me at ease right away,  She treated my for stress related problems.  The whole experience was excellent and worked wonders.  I highly recommend Liz.  S.G., Barnsley.

Thank you for changing my life.  It's such a pleasure to wake up every morning feeling "normal", positive and optimistic.  I spent so many years feeling down I had forgotten how good it is to feel okay.  Thank you for all that you have done for me.  S.S. Doncaster.
