About me

I am a highly experienced and one of the highest qualified hypnotherapists and psychotherapists in the UK and specialize in working with children from the age of 6 years old as well as working with adults.   I have been in practice for over 12 years and am one of a few hypnotherapists that hold one of the highest qualifications in the UK known as an AHD (Advanced Hypnotherapy Diploma) as well as the HPD (Hypnotherapy in Practice Diploma). I am the Senior Lecturer for the Clifton Practice Hypnotherapy Training school in Plymouth teaching people to become Solution Focused hypnotherapists & psychotherapists.  I am a qualified Mindfulness Practitioner, teaching mediation skills which help maintain a healthy mental awareness and balance. I hold the supervisors qualification which is a level 5 which allows me to supervise other therapists around the UK.  I have such a belief & passion for what I do that I have been a volunteer to the National Council of Hypnotherapy (NCH) as Director of Education.

My work can help people to overcome issues such as depression, anxiety, weight, addictions, trauma, insomnia, quitting smoking or any other concern and child issues such as nightmares, sucking a thumb, bed wetting, exam nerves, concentration, bullying, communications skills and self-esteem.

I am registered with The National Council of Hypnotherapy (NCH), the Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH), and the Complimentary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC)  and this means that I abide by a strict code of ethics and provide you with a confidence of my standards and abilities.

"Research has shown that there is more scientific evidence for hypnotherapy than any other Complimentary Therapy and by using hypnosis, people can perform prodigious feats of willpower and self healing" The Health Education Authority.

How can I help?

By using powerful hypnotherapeutic techniques and combining Cognitive Behavioral Techniques (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) I can help you to bring about change and find solutions to difficulties.

Initial Consultation

Each client is invited to an initial consultation with no obligation to make any further appointments. The initial consultation provides an opportunity for you to determine whether hypnotherapy is right for you and if it is we will create a program tailored to your needs and you will receive a complimentary CD/recording to begin the process. The initial consultation has been described as 'enlightening' by some of my clients due to the explanation of how the brain works.  The consultation demonstrates how our thoughts can cause a person to become stuck, anxious or depressed and, more importantly, how these thoughts can be moved on.

When my client is a young child I would commonly ask the parent or guardian to have the initial consultation separate.  This can help the adult understand how therapy works and can help them to manage their support to the child with the understanding and knowledge of therapy to give a collaborative support to the child.

Where and When?

I am available for appointments via ZOOM and at my therapy room at Maple Clinic, 3-5 Horndean Road, Forest Park, Bracknell, RG12 0TX. Please have a look at my website www.hypnotherapybracknell.co.uk and either call me on 07547 193555 or send an email from the above link or from my website and I will reply to you.

How many sessions will I need?

Change can be stimulated relatively quickly and therefore can require comparatively few sessions.  Working with a child can be a little different and all our sessions are built around the needs of the child.  This may mean that a child may have sessions that last for 30 minutes unlike an adult, that sessions will vary between 45 and 60 minutes.
Issues such as fear of flying, spiders, snakes can usually be helped in three sessions;
Smoking Cessation usually requires one session of up to two hours.

What will I need to do to help myself?

As with anything worth achieving your 100% commitment to change is essential. I look forward to hearing about positive things which have occurred to you between sessions and as you find the problem shifting so you will have more positive events to tell me about. Also listening to my CD/recording each night before sleeping to continue the process between sessions forms part of the program and I have found this helps clients to move more quickly towards their desired success.

Making the first step is often the hardest. Contact me on 07547 193555 if you would like a chat or to come and see me for an initial consultation with no obligation or visit my website.

Hypnotherapy can enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice.
