About me

Do you feel that your life is out of control? Perhaps you feel anxious or low in mood? Are you struggling to cope with a health condition or diagnosis, causing you difficulties with pain or lack of sleep? Are you worried about how the Coronavirus may affect you?

Hypnotherapy is a safe therapy. All that is required is to focus your attention on the suggestions made by the hypnotherapist, in direct relation to your concerns. You may be asked to follow particular instructions or use your imagination, or think about something in particular.

You are in full control of your own mind throughout. You may be so deeply interested in what I say, or your mind may wonder somewhere else for a short time, and that is perfectly fine. It is impossible to be 'stuck' in hypnosis.

You may feel a profoundly heavy or light floaty feeling, a feeling of relaxation or feel dissociated, as there isn’t a specific “hypnotised feeling”

Hypnosis empowers you to take back control of your life, feel more resilient, feel more in tune with your body and mind, and give you tools that can help you in your daily life, whatever the situation. Self-hypnosis also enables you to continue that improvement.

I have a special interest in health-related issues.
I am also a counsellor and retired nurse, and currently work at a centre which supports cancer patients and their families.
I have a particular interest in chronic health issues, cancer, pain management, pre and post operative concerns, needle/cannula phobia and other health-related phobias.
I do also work however with many other issues, in particular anxiety.

I am happy to chat to you by phone, or offer you a 15-minute Zoom session, to check that i am the right hypnotherapist for you.
