About me

Would you like to make changes in your life? If you were to close your eyes and reimagine your future, what would it look like? How would you want to be, think, feel? I would love to help you to get there!

I am currently seeing hypnotherapy clients online, and it works so well, because you are able to close your eyes and you are able to think about or imagine whatever I say to you, just as if you were in the room.

All that you need to do is to focus your attention on my suggestions which are taken from your words and in direct relation to your concerns.

You are in full control of your own mind throughout. You may find that you are so deeply interested in what I am saying, or your mind may wander somewhere else for a short time, and that is perfectly fine.

There is no specific 'hypnotised feeling'. Some clients report feeling a profoundly heavy or light floaty feeling, others a feeling of relaxation or dissociation, whatever occurs is just fine.

Hypnosis empowers you to take back control of your life, feel more resilient, feel more in tune with your body and mind, and gives you the tools that will help you in your daily life. Self-hypnosis also enables you to continue that improvement.

I specialise in work with anxieties and health-related issues.
I am additionally a counsellor and retired registered nurse, and currently work at a centre which supports cancer patients and their families.

I specialise in work with anxieties as well as health issues, as I am passionate about helping clients to achieve a better quality of life. I have a particular interest in chronic health issues, cancer, pain management, pre and post operative concerns, needle/cannula phobia and other health-related phobias.

I am happy to chat to you by phone, or offer you a 20-minute Zoom session, to discuss how i can help you transform your life!

The General Hypnotherapy Register

Hypnotherapists may become members of the General Hypnotherapy Register if they satisfy certain criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements as determined from time to time by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC).

Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level.

All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.

Areas of hypnotherapy I deal with

Information about health conditions (*)

Hypnotherapy can enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting hypnotherapy.

Other areas of hypnotherapy I deal with

Pain management - reducing and managing chronic pain, so improving quality of life. The OldPain2Go technique is a very successful way of managing pain.

Working with Cancer - anxiety around diagnosis/prognosis/increase in personal control over the disease/better quality of living/reduction in treatment side effects, for example nausea/body image issues, for example loss of hair, loss of a breast, living with a stoma.

Working with Chronic Illness - improved quality of living, coping with secondary issues, improvement in mood, sleep etc.

Working with Health Anxieties - alleviating misinterpreted worries about your health

Fatigue reduction

Specific health-related fears, for example, a visit to the dentist/pre-operative anxiety/pre-procedural anxiety/attending hospital/fear of needles or cannulation

If a Hypnotherapist's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the Hypnotherapist to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
