I started out as a primary school teacher before becoming ill with Endometriosis and Fibromyalgia almost 15 years ago and having to retire from teaching. I was a life-long sufferer of crippling anxiety which really held me back for a long time and reached a peak when I had to give up the job I loved. I tried many different anti-anxiety and anti-depressant medications, counselling and CBT but I found the only thing that actually helped me was hypnotherapy and NLP techniques. I now use self-hypnosis every day to manage the pain and keep my anxiety under control.
I became fascinated by the power of the unconscious and spent all my free time studying books about the mind and hypnosis. I earned my first hypnotherapy diploma in 2016 and have since gone on to study at the Anglo-European College of Therapeutic Hypnosis in Bournemouth. I earned my Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma (HPD) and NLP Practitioner diploma in July 2018 after ten months of study.
I help with many different issues but I specialise in helping other women to overcome anxiety and increase their self-esteem and self-confidence.
As I am a fully qualified and experienced primary school teacher, I also have a particular interest in helping children and teenagers with issues such as anxiety, social phobia, bedwetting, habits, exam pressures etc.
How I Work
I use a combination of hypnotherapy, mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) techniques to help you reach your therapy goals and move forward with confidence.
I recommend at least three or four sessions to really overcome any issue. I spend the first full session on a very detailed assessment where I will ask you questions about how the issue started, how it affects your day-to-day life and what you would like to achieve from hypnotherapy. I like to see clients weekly if possible and I will give you practical tasks to complete between our sessions.
While we work together I am always on hand via a phone call or message to offer support and guidance where needed. We will reflect on your progress every week and review and adapt our treatment plan as needed.
Towards the end of our treatment programme, we will discuss the next step and either continue with hypnotherapy, make a date for a follow-up conversation or help you to move on to further help if needed. I teach all my clients techniques to help overcome any future issues and I also teach you self-hypnosis and give you audio recordings to listen to at home.
There is no one-size-fits-all treatment plan. Everything I do is client-based and focused on getting the best results possible and helping you to reach your goals in the best way for you.
Free Initial Consultation
I offer a free 15-minute initial consultation where you can ask questions and find out how hypnotherapy could help you. It is also important that we feel comfortable working together and that I am the right therapist for you.
I work in a cosy therapy room at Serendipity in Honiton High Street and see most clients there. However, if you live in Honiton, I am happy to visit you at home if needed. If you live outside the area, we can connect via Skype. Daytime, evening and weekend appointments are available.

I started out as a Primary School Teacher which I loved but had to give up due to my own health problems, which is how I discovered the power of hypnosis. I have been a qualified hypnotherapist now for almost three years and love my new career helping others to overcome their own difficulties.
I recently trained with Adam Eason at the Anglo European College of Therapeutic Hypnosis to gain my NLP Practitioner and Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma (which is considered the gold standard in Hypnotherapy diplomas). I have also studied Hypnotherapy and Past Life Regression Therapy with Karen Wells from the KEW Training Academy and I am currently studying for my Master Practitioner Qualification in NLP with Jimmy Petruzzi from the Centre of Excellence.
I am fully insured, I have regular supervision and keep up to date with all the new techniques and hypnotherapy news through continuous reading, studying and relevant seminars and courses.
