Kay Tagney - Anxiety, Fears & Phobia Specialist

About me

Hello, my name is Kay and I am a fully qualified Hypnotherapist, BrainWorking Recursive Therapist (BWRT), Hypnobirthing Practitioner, and Reflexologist offering online sessions and face to face.

I specialise in Anxiety, Fears, and Phobias, but am also trained and experienced in working in other areas too.

The current health crisis with all its uncertainty has hit many people very hard, causing fear and panic. Fear starts as a thought, which then causes the body to produce a reaction in the form of an emotion. This in turn results in a racing heart, sweating, nausea, trembling, and eventually panic. If you change your thoughts you can then change your reaction. Sounds simple, and it is, but quite difficult to achieve by yourself.

Hypnosis and BWRT can help you to change the way you think about issues that are causing you distress and by making these changes you will be taking back control of your life.

Due to the current health fears relating to the Coronavirus and particularly for those in self-isolation, I am now offering Hypnosis and BWRT sessions via Skype, FaceTime, or WhatsApp video call at a discounted rate.

Please get in touch to discuss your situation and ask any questions, or to book an appointment. You can call me on 07522 718855 or click here to send me an email.

Areas of hypnotherapy I deal with

Information about health conditions (*)

Hypnotherapy can enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting hypnotherapy.

Other areas of hypnotherapy I deal with

  • Fertility and Pre Conception
  • Hypnobirthing

I am experienced in working with issues such as:

  • smoking cessation
  • Hypnobirthing
  • weight loss
  • anxiety
  • fears and phobias
  • confidence and self-esteem
  • fear of flying
  • exam nerves
  • public speaking
  • driving test
  • and many more issues.

As recently reported in the media, hypnosis is a very effective tool for helping couples to conceive.  When there is no physiological reason for not becoming pregnant the problem may lie in the subconscious mind. By changing your embedded beliefs about your ability to conceive, you give the subconscious mind permission to allow your body to become pregnant and it does this by sending hormones (the chemical messengers) to those parts of your body that may need help and encouragement.

I also use Hypnobirthing to promote relaxation and alleviate any fears during pregnancy, particularly those associated with the birth itself, putting the mother in control and helping them to feel more relaxed about the forthcoming happy event and enjoy the journey with their baby.

I work from home, in Ware, where I have a comfortable, specially dedicated room for my therapies, which clients comment is a very relaxing and peaceful place to be. There is ample street parking and clients are welcome to park on the drive.

Fees

Hypnotherapy and BWRT - £60 per one-hour session face to face or £50 per one-hour session online.

Smoking Cessation  -  £175 for one two hour session, inclusive of consultation plus a follow-up session if required.

Hypnobirthing- these sessions can take place weekdays in Ware or weekday evenings at the client's home.

The first session of both Hypnotherapy and BWRT will mostly be taken up with discussing in detail the issues that the client wishes to deal with, followed by a short hypnosis or BWRT if time permits. I will then use the time between the first and second sessions to prepare personalised hypnosis tailored to their needs and this will be used from the second session onwards.

Similarly for BWRT, I will use the time between the first and second sessions to prepare a treatment plan tailored to the client's needs. Each session will be one hour long and monitored on a session by session basis.

Further information

‘BWRT®’ stands for ‘BrainWorking Recursive Therapy®’, a model of psychology and psychotherapy created by UK professional therapists, Terence Watts, MCGI.

It’s a totally confidential method that doesn’t require you to reveal your private information or personal secrets to your therapist, and is carried out in a completely conscious state. It doesn’t use hypnosis or any mystical concepts - it’s completely logical, practical, and down-to-earth, and only needs you to know what you want to change in your life for it to be completely successful. Only Certified Practitioners have been trained to deliver BWRT® and all have to adhere to a strict ethical code. Find out more at http://www.bwrt.org
