About me

It is important you get the right therapist for you, so let me tell you a little bit about how I work. I have over 20 years experience working with people who are experiencing mental and emotional difficulties, and I am dedicated to helping people lead the life they want.  My training is scientific, and evidence based, and I use logical, simple and powerful techniques to get the very best possible result for my clients. My aim is to empower people, and help them to achieve their goals.  I am a Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapist, and I use a powerful mixture of cognitive behavioural therapy, hypnosis, and mindfulness.

Please note that I now offer online sessions!  This, of course, means that you can live anywhere in the country, or indeed the world (*some restrictions apply), and I will still be able to work with you. I also offer face to face sessions.

I work in a friendly, warm, and non judgemental way, and also offer support between sessions via e-mail and text message (at no extra cost), and where appropriate on the telephone.  After each session you will receive a detailed follow up e-mail with a recap of your session, and a reminder of any techniques we have covered, including recordings. Each session is tailored specifically to meet individuals needs.

I work with people suffering from a wide range of conditions, including, but not restricted to: stress, anxiety of all kinds( including health anxiety), depression and low mood, low self confidence and / or self esteem, phobias and fears (e.g. driving, flying, heights, spiders etc), inability to relax, habits, loss and bereavement, insomnia and sleep related issues, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (C.F.S) / M.E, sports performance, sexual issues, exam nerves (including school, university, college exams, and driving tests), O.C.D tendencies, weight loss, and food addiction, Habit breaking, compulsive skin picking, compulsive hair pulling, and public speaking fears. I specialise in treating anxiety, which can often be a root cause of many of the issues listed.

Please contact me directly to find out more information, and to book a free, no obligation telephone consultation (it is quicker to message me directly, rather than booking a telephone call via the website as availability changes daily).  I look forward to hearing from you!

Hypnotherapy can be extremely powerful and effective for a wide variety of issues, please see below for more information about the conditions I work with.

A couple of testimonials taken from my website. Please visit my website for more 5 star reviews (www.kmhypnotherapy.co.uk).

"Anxiety had crippled my life for as long as I can remember.  Fear of a wide range of every day supposedly enjoyable situation ranging from parties, to taking the kids swimming would send me into a spiral of anxiety and depression, sometimes making me physically sick from the stress.  I had always tried to hide the fear, acting as confident as possible, and avoiding situations I dreaded.  I was basically papering over the cracks in my life.  Once the kids were of a certain age it became impossible to avoid all the situation I feared.  Hypnotherapy had been recommended to me in the past, but I have always been the biggest sceptic going, and had always dismissed the idea, then I met Kate.  I booked an appointment and the usual anxiety kicked in a week before our meeting. Not only did I leave my first session realising my anxiety was unfounded, I left my first session feeling genuinely elated, refreshed, and confident.  I cannot stress how great the difference was after one session.  After 3 sessions I had to go to a party, the kind of party that would normally send me stressing out, but this time it was different.   I not only got through the party, I actually enjoyed it!  I started conversations with people (something I would never normally do).  I also had a smile on my face, instead of the normal uncomfortable frown.  Kate is a very likeable person and incredibly easy to talk to, she is very understanding, and I would recommend her to anyone.  In a nutshell Hypnotherapy worked for me".  (Male, low self confidence, anxiety.)

Hypnotherapy has definitely, without doubt helped me with my issues.  Hypnotherapy is incredible with the right therapist. When with Kate Middleton, I liked everything about her.  Firstly I have to say I saw two other therapists before Kate, just to get a feel for it. I will say that they were good and understanding, but Kate is brilliant, in her company you feel at ease straight away.  Kate's voice is soothing but her best quality is that she probably doesn't realise how special she is.  Kate can adapt to any situation with a solution to a particular point in the sessions.  Kate's knowledge is so in depth and rubs off on you because of her enthusiasm.  Kate loves her job, and that makes you want to go back.  I found the mindfulness really helps you feel under a spell in a nice relaxed way.  I would recommend Kate to anyone with even the tiniest of issues.  You will be so glad to meet her.  Kate is a warm and caring person with only her patients needs at heart.  Give her a call, its the best advice I can give. (Male, anxiety and confusion)

Throughout my time with Kate I have changed so much I am unrecognisable from the person I was at the beginning of therapy.  Kate's method of CBT and hypnotherapy has helped change the way my brain works, something I thought before was impossible, and something I would have to deal with for the rest of my life. (*an extract from a female, compulsive skin picking, OCD, low mood, anxiety).
