I’m Karen and I decided to become a Clinical Hypnotherapist because of my own life experiences and because I simply love helping people improve their life.
I first became interested in Hypnotherapy in the early 80’s just after the birth of my second child as, for no reason what so ever and out of the blue I started to getting panic attacks to an extent where my quality of life was being severely compromised. I felt nervous, insecure depressed and even struggled walking to the shops, getting on the bus or speaking to people who had been my friends for many years. These panic attacks continue for a good 12 months until I eventually discovered Hypnotherapy which I can honestly say turned my life around, all of a sudden those nasty negative feelings were replaced with warm, bright fuzzy happy positive ones which gave me a second chance and eventually a chance to help others in the same position.

For hypnotherapy to help you to quit smoking you firstly need to want to make those changes.
During the hypnosis for a smoking cessation I will firstly be leading into an extreme deep state of relaxation where you are fully conscious and fully aware of your surroundings at all times. I will then work with the subconscious mind which is 30,000 times more powerful than the conscious mind and get it to imagine unpleasant outcomes from smoking such as, cigarette smoke smell of rotten eggs or smoking makes your mouth feel dry and uncomfortable, I will also focus your mind to believe that smoking poisons your body, that’s your body needs to live and that you should respect your body at all times.
Finally, prior to leading you out of that extreme deep state of relaxation I will teach you to self-hypnosis getting you to affirm the above anytime you feel the desire to smoke.
Hypnotherapy can help relieve stress, fear and anxiety, it can also be used to to help in coping with symptoms of panic disorder.
During hypnosis you will be fully conscious and aware of your surroundings at all times you will simply be in a state of extreme deep relaxation which helps reduce levels of stress and anxiety, provides the ability for you to imagine what makes you feel anxious and finally it allows me to communicate with the subconscious mind, allowing you to make changes.
Once we have established the root cause of your weight issue and agreed your goals I will tailor a bespoke therapy plan to help you achieve your life time ambitions. I will then explain how the process works before gently leading you into an extreme deep state of relaxation where you will be fully conscious and aware of your surroundings at all times, I will then work on changing those poor behaviour patterns that are preventing you from losing weight and achieving the goals that we set out together.
Once you come out of the extreme state of relaxation you will feel energised, calm, content and happy and ready to live the best-ever and healthiest version of your life you’ve ever known.
