Karen Jones Dip Hyp CS, Adv Dip CP
I am a fully qualified, licensed Clinical Hypnotherapist, working with clients of all ages in the peaceful setting of a small centre in Barns Green, West Sussex. I belong to the Hypnotherapy Society, a professional membership that insures that I am fully Qualified and keep up with my Continued Professional Development obligations.
As well as a Hypnotherapist, I am an Advanced Level counsellor, psychotherapist.
I also regularly run an 8 week mindfulness Coaching Programme that is always very popular so please call for latest information. I also have a Diploma in counselling children and adolescents.
I see clients of all ages, from Horsham, Billingshurst, Partridge Green, Cowfold, Crawley and the surrounding areas in West Sussex, East Sussex and Surrey. I have a quiet, calming therapy room within a professional setting and plenty of free parking.
Clients come to therapy with wide range of issues, addictions, stress and anxiety, depression, relationship problems, weight loss, blushing, anger management, alcohol & drug abuse, exam nerves and fear of flying are very common issues I deal with. Eating disorders and weight loss respond very well to the gentle but effective treatment of Hypnotherapy as do fears and phobias.
I have a special interest in working with teenagers and young adults, covering issues such as self harm ,relationship problems and college / exam stress. I am so often told that there is little or no help for this age group and although there are school and college counsellors doing a fantastic job, there is a fear of what will be kept on personal records and friends knowing.
As an independent counsellor, all sessions and their content remain completely confidential. Self harm in itself is a secretive act, together we can look at the underlying causes and work at your own pace to address these issues in a calm and comfortable, completely supportive environment.
Issues such depression and anxiety / stress related issues such as panic attacks and irritable bowel syndrome and bruxism (clenching, grinding teeth), respond well with hypnotherapy and clients who want to try hypnosis to avoid going on to medication, have been pleased with the results. The gentle relaxing nature of Hypnotherapy works well in lifting the mood of clients with depression and used along side counselling speeds up the process of change.
Anxiety, low self esteem, sports performance and pain management, sleep and eating disorders all respond really well to Hypnotherapy, with clients usually noticing a marked differance after just one session.
Mindfulness is becoming very and popular, it's a scientifically proven technique taught to help you relax and remain calm throughout your day. A great aid to increasing concentration, memory, reducing stress and anxiety and depression.
I am truly passionate about helping people live their lives to the full and each client is treated as an individual, all sessions are completely confidential. I am CRB checked, insured and hold a safe guarding children certificate, so offering complete peace of mind to parents.

Hypnotherapy is a completely safe and natural therapy with no negative side effects. It's gentle and holistic, treating the cause of the problem not just the effects.
With the use of positive imagery and relaxation we gain access to your sub-conscious mind where all your out-dated habits and beliefs are stored and they can be exchanged for more beneficial positive ones.
