About me
My name is Julie Phillips. Over ten years ago, I left my full time teaching job and Head of Department role to retrain as a clinical hypnotherapist .
My specialist areas are stress, anxiety, trauma (including post traumatic stress) emotional abuse, chronic pain and alcohol addiction.
As a former full time teacher I am acutely aware of work related stress in this profession and how to navigate an exit strategy.
I also work with clients who have physical symptoms such as irritable Bowel, insomnia and panic/anxiety reactions as I have personal experience of this and used hypnotherapy to help reduce my own symptoms successfully.
My sessions are one to one and designed to work at your pace to support you in reducing issues that are causing pain or distress to restore self confidence and clarity in how to take the next steps. I also teach specific strategies for you to use after the session and offer supporting resources such as audio recordings.
Sometimes, we just need some time and space with another professional to work through things quietly - it doesn't have to be difficult or require lots of sessions.
I help people to:
- reduce stress quickly.
- resolve and manage anxiety symptoms effectively
- use strategies to navigate & exit stressful work places
- improve quality and quantity of sleep.
- reduce alcohol intake and stop to drinking alcohol.
- release themselves from coercive an/or manipulative behaviour ansd restore confidence.
· I provide a professional, friendly and confidential service.
· I offer a free phone consultation at a time to suit you before booking.
I also provide hypnotherapy audio recordings and help sheets so you can recreate the strategies you have learned after your session.
