About me

I am a Professionally Accredited Hypnotherapist & Life Coach passionate about helping others achieve meaningful and sustained change in their lives. Hypnotherapy with me is friendly, relaxing & powerful, helping you achieve your life goals and reach your full potential.

Tackling issues such as anxiety, stress, phobias, weight loss, self confidence and chronic pain management my sessions take place within a purpose built comfortable, safe and discreet treatment room in our family home (see pictures below). I am a licensed Hypno-Band Practitioner specialising in gastric band hypnotherapy.

I became a Hypnotherapist & Life Coach following an incredible career in the Fire Service, which was all about helping people during the worst moments of their lives. I know what it means to 'be there' for people during difficult times and how important it is to provide professional, compassionate and non judgemental support for people when they need it. As your hypnotherapist you can be assured of my very best commitment and support for you.

Please call, email or text me on 07767 243180 to discuss how I can help you!

How it Works

First comes the consultation, this is so important as during this discussion we talk about what it is that you wish to achieve and we explore some of the barriers that are preventing you from doing so. From this discussion we develop an initial plan covering the likely approach and number of sessions.

Next, your first session lasts for around 90 minutes as we talk through, in further depth, your goals and issues, I will explain in detail how our hypnotherapy sessions work, we will run our first session and we also complete some paperwork.

Sessions thereafter usually last for an hour focusing on your progress and dealing with any unresolved issues.

I take a holistic approach to your unique needs often finding that a blended approach works best, that means perhaps including aspects of Life Coaching, Cognitive Behavioural  Therapy, Mindfulness and even Reiki, which collectively can achieve a significant and powerful outcome for people.

Registered with the General Hypnotherapist Register, the Professional Association for qualified hypnotherapists, I am bound by their code of standards and ethics designed to provide clients with the very highest levels of service and protection.

A couple of Testimonials:

Allen I " Just amazing John, feel so much better and in control again, cant wait for my next session"

"My name is Lisa and I suffer from severe back pain caused by extensive surgery, I am often confined to a wheelchair and take the strongest of pain killers. I experienced a hypnotherapy session with John after which I was pain free for the first time in years, it was just incredible and emotional. I now attend John's practice once per month, sometimes for hypnotherapy and sometimes for Reike, these sessions mean so much to me and help me manage my pain. I would strongly recommend John to anyone suffering with chronic pain"

"I had a terrible fear of flying, so much so that I had not flown for over ten years. Two sessions with John, one a few weeks before the flight and one the day before and I was able to fly with my family to Tenerife, was still nervous but what a difference ! The therapy room is just so relaxing, comfortable and safe." Gill
