ONLINE THERAPY SESSIONS
Therapy – I am sure you have heard many people discuss the subject, both positive and negative, likewise with hypnotherapy and you may be apprehensive about what is offered and what to expect.
Therapy is not the same for everyone, the treatment plan for you will be different to another person to match your specific requirements and needs. We will agree this treatment plan together, with you being autonomous on your future goals and aspirations. My focus is on providing a professional, safe, comfortable and relaxing environment at my home where you feel secure and comfortable in order to do this. I am purely your facilitator, I will be there with you at the start of your therapy story and I will help you all the way to the end of your therapy story.
Studying with the National College of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy enables me to offer a full integrative approach to your therapy. This means that I am not siloed in my approach and can utilize different styles of psychotherapy to best suit your requirements. The approaches that I will use within sessions range from CBT, transactional analysis, client-centered counselling and even solution focused therapy. The approach I use within the sessions will be mutually agreed and I am not here to judge you or to tell you how you should feel or behave. I provide you with the autonomy for your therapy and the sessions are led by you, my role is to help you achieve what you desire.?
HOW I CAN HELP
Hypnotherapy is the use of hypnosis for the treatment and alleviation of a variety of physical and psychological symptoms. Hypnosis allows the subject to experience often quite deep levels of relaxation and so helps to reduce levels of stress and anxiety. It is often used alongside classical behavioural therapies such as ‘systematic desensitisation’. Two important elements of this therapy are the ability to clearly imagine something that makes you feel anxious and then to attain a deeply relaxed state. Hypnosis helps to achieve both of these more easily and quickly than many other forms of treatment.
Weight loss hypnotherapy is used far more widely than most people would realize. Hypnosis is not something that is practised by people on TV shows that immediately send people to sleep, but a treatment therapy that has a far broader reach with positive results. Weight loss hypnotherapy is used in a range of weight related treatments such as binge eating and bulimia, but also helps treat trigger symptoms such as anxiety.
VIRTUAL GASTRIC BAND
Hypnosis can also be used to help people with weight loss. I offer a service called the 'Virtual Gastric Band'
Using hypnosis the therapist helps you by encouraging your body to remember experiences you may have forgotten, that can have negative thought patterns towards food. This is not invasive surgery, but rather a treatment designed to hypnotically suggest to your unconscious mind that you have had the actual operation. The end goal is to make your body respond like a procedure has been carried out, helping you to feel full quicker as if you have had the actual surgery.
Utilizing hypnotherapy we can access these unconscious, automatic thoughts, and through the power of suggestion, we can begin to unseat and reframe them. Simply put, hypnosis can be a very powerful tool for targeting the root cause of low self-esteem. It can help prevent those negative, overly critical thoughts from telling us how to feel about ourselves and empower us to rid ourselves of these negative thinking patterns.
The Hypnotherapy approach works on a subconscious level, using techniques to identify and address the root causes while offering positive suggestions to break negative thinking patterns. Rather than treat the symptoms of depression, hypnotherapy aims to tackle what triggers lead to your depression so you can unpick it and move on.
Hypnotherapy works for depression because it targets the underlying basis of depression, and completes the “unfinished business” that otherwise continues to recycle as self-sabotaging thoughts and behaviors. With hypnotherapy, the person can go down deeper to their traumatic experiences, memories and stored emotions, which means they can quickly release them from the mind and body. When the root cause of your depression has been addressed, suggestion techniques can be used to encourage a more positive mindset. These suggestions can help with low energy, sleeping difficulties and help you feel more like your usual self.
FEARS AND PHOBIA
Hypnotically-facilitated systematic desensitization, a Neurolinguistic procedure, is very helpful. The individual learns to gain a sense of internal control over the fearful or anxiety-producing trigger. Advantages of hypnotic desensitization over traditional behavioral desensitization include enhanced scene visualization and the ability to give posthypnotic suggestions to encourage behavioral responses to the situations that were imagined.
Hypnotherapy for IBS can help an individual learn relaxation techniques, as well as learning new ways to manage stress. Our state of mind can have an impact on our physical well-being. Therefore the tension, stress and anxiety often caused by IBS may undermine the immune system and further compromise health. Learning how to relax and manage stressful feelings can become useful life tools. Hypnosis can help to promote positive thinking and develop coping strategies. The hypnotherapist helps you recognise the problem and access your unconscious mind. A number of clinical studies have found hypnotherapy for IBS to be an effective treatment, including a recent study published in The Lancet Gastroenterology and Hepatology journal.

During your hypnotherapy session we will create that deep-down drive to succeed, so that without even thinking about it, you will simply feel more motivated. Used for a few days and the first thing you will notice is you are getting more done, feeling like working and getting much greater satisfaction from your working life.
Rather than convincing you that your pain doesn't exist, hypnosis for pain aims to manage any fear and anxiety you may have relating to your pain. It also helps to reduce stress and relax the nervous system to help it become less reactive to pain.
Research has shown that hypnotherapy can help relieve stress, fear, and anxiety. It can also be used to help in coping with the symptoms of panic disorder. ... The person will bring awareness to the physical sensations, emotions, and cognitions associated with their attacks, such as chest pain, shaking, and fear.
Hypnosis can be so successful for low self-esteem, because its goal is to repair the mind. Hypnosis helps to re-teach the subconscious to be a supportive partner in our day-to-day lives. During a hypnotherapy session, you'll guide your body and mind to a state of heightened relaxation and awareness.
A great number of people find hypnotherapy for smoking an effective treatment. The method works to break the negative behaviours and thinking patterns associated with smoking; like smoking to relieve stress. It is these negative thoughts and behaviours that often prevents people from successfully giving up. Quitting does not deal with the underlying issues. So, when a person makes the decision to stop smoking, the key aspect is to let go of the routine and change how they view cigarettes. Breaking an addiction like this is a challenge; it won’t be easy, especially if it is a lifelong habit, and changing how you think about something can be difficult. Hypnotherapy focuses on this change. The hypnotherapist will support you and guide you through the motions, you’re no longer alone in the trying to quit. Because of this, hypnotherapy is fast becoming one of the most popular forms of treatment.
Hypnotherapy aims to break negative thought patterns and responses to stress and instead provide you with a more healthy reaction. This is done via the subconscious - the part of our mind that works automatically and without us realising. Your hypnotherapist will help you enter a state of deep relaxation (hypnosis). When you’re in this state, your subconscious is more open to suggestion. The idea here is for the hypnotherapist to ‘suggest’ different ways of responding to stress, to your subconscious. Some people will see results after one session while others may require a number of sessions. This will depend on your individual circumstances and the depth of work needed. TAKING YOUR NEXT STEP ALONE
Within the initial consultation we can discuss your issues and your goals, we can then make a tentative treatment plan, in terms of the provisional amount of sessions that will be required. This however is fully adjustable and will be tailored to meet your demands and needs. There is no obligation to attend a minimum amount of sessions, neither do I promote a longer treatment plan than is required. We will review progress within each session and my goal is at helping you to achieve beneficial and ongoing change.
Each session is £70 for 1 hour.

My desire to help people reach their goals
I also have extensive experience working as a mental health nurse, where I took a keen interest in psychology and human behaviour. I enjoyed meeting different people from all aspects of life and I was passionate about helping them achieve their goals and to build and maintain successful and healthy lifestyles. Whilst nursing I was also fortunate to witness people having significant improvements in their mental health and well-being by engaging with therapists who provided hypnotherapy, this is what lit the spark for me, I could also provide this therapy and help people in the same way.
I constantly engage in personal development as I am fully dedicated to helping you and to provide you with the best therapy. I gained my certificate in hypnotherapy and psychotherapy from the prestigious National College of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy, as well as the certificate in Online Therapy. I also have a degree in Information Security and therefore take your data security and confidentiality very seriously.
In my personal time, I enjoy hiking and exploring. I love travelling and am very lucky to have visited many countries in Europe. I also love nothing more than relaxing in the evening with a fictional crime fiction book.
I offer a free 15min initial consultation where we can explore the reasons that brought you here to therapy. We can discuss what issues you are experiencing, what problems may be presenting themselves to you, and what your future goals are to work towards together. It provides you with the opportunity to ask any further questions. It will be fully collaborative. It gives you the chance to talk and I listen so we can form a tentative schedule and treatment plan. These plans will be fully flexible and may change frequently throughout therapy in order to meet your best interests.
