Your sessions take place in a confidential, peaceful and comfortable space, in therapy rooms that looks out over the beautiful Somerset Levels. My therapy practice is a calming space for clients and therapist to work together. I aim for my clients to leave every hypnotherapy session feeling calm, relaxed, confident and competent and equipped for the positive change in their lives.
I offer different complementary therapies and treatments to support and help a wide range of anxiety based conditions. I also offer bodywork treatments including aromatherapy, massage and reflexology these can be sometimes be combined with some talking therapies for deeper longer relaxation treatment session.
After many years working for large organisations I came to realise that 'people', the very precious resource that makes our whole society tick, were being overwhelmed with life. Today there is a level of resilience that we need to get through the many different and often emotional, life events we have to face. It's frequently quoted that 1 out of 3 of us will suffer some form of mental illness in our lifetime, however I was totally shocked when I found that I too was one of these people. After returning to work following the birth of my first child I found myself paralysed by the debilitating symptoms of anxiety, unable to face returning to work - I was frightened, 'so it could happen to me too' I mused!
Our growing culture of target driven performance, striving for success and the ordinary and not so ordinary life changing events can sometimes blow our worlds apart - the loss of a loved one, the breakdown of a relationship, illness - physical and mental, can take an enormous toll on our wellbeing. Through my own experiences of anxiety I recognised and saw in others that it was all too easy to get hooked into downward spiral of stress leading to anxiety and sometimes depressive thoughts so I wanted to become part of the solution, to help people get back on track.
