About me

Are you living with anxiety or depression? Held back by fears or phobias? Or dealing with emotional problems? If you'd like to make some positive, lasting changes in your life, I'd love to help. Together we'll work to overcome obstacles, dissolve fears and negative thinking, leaving you free to fulfil your true potential  and create the life you want.

Combining techniques from clinical hypnotherapy and CBT is a highly effective approach. In fact I use many different techniques  depending on what will be most helpful. Because everyone is different we'll work with what's best for you.

I'm have been a trainer with Relate for 15 years.

In 2016 I was resident therapist and feature writer for Top Sante magazine.

I've written two on-line books:  "Overcoming Perfectionism" and "Managing Anxiety at Work"  both published by

I work with most issues, including:

  • Anxiety & depression
  • Phobias
  • Fear of Flying
  • Stress
  • Exam nerves
  • Panic attacks
  • Post traumatic stress
  • Confidence
  • Emotional issues
  • Relationship issues
  • Confidence and self-esteem
  • Hypno Birthing (I am an ex-NCT teacher)

What is Hypnosis?

It's actually a naturally occurring state. Have you ever been absorbed in a book and simply unaware of what's going on around you? That's a very similar psychological state – one of deep absorption and focussed attention. Hypnosis is not 'mind control' – you are always in control. It is not like being asleep - although you will probably feel extremely relaxed. Many say is feels more like a pleasant day dream. This calm, easy state allows your 'unconscious' mind to accept positive suggestions and imagine  creative solutions.

What happens in the session?

We'll examine the sources of your problem along with the emotional issues - although we don't get bogged down in the past because this is about finding creative solutions to bring about the change you want for the future. We work on developing effective strategies and creating positive suggestions that will help you get to your goal, and we then use hypnosis to embed these deeply into your ‘unconscious’ mind.

My style is solution-focussed, warm and positive. I've helped clients with a wide variety of issues, particularly with  anxiety, fears and phobias, PTSD, depression, relationship and emotional issues.

Who do I Help?

I enjoy working with a wide variety of people, across the board. My passion is helping people increase their self-belief and confidence, and I especially love working with teenagers who are experiencing stress relating to their studies or their relationships.

Practicing in Oxford at the Raleigh Park Clinic.

"I have found our sessions invaluable both as support through a challenging period this summer and to bring to the forefront some very unhelpful and outdated thought patterns, habits and behaviours, which now identified are increasingly becoming obsolete and creating the space for new ways of thinking and being" (Tim C)

"Just to let you know that I graduated from my course yesterday with a first class degree. Thank you so much for all your support. Your methods to help me to rethink my perfectionist thoughts and tendencies were instrumental in remaining calm and focused enough to achieve my dream result" (Sophie S).

"Hi Jenny,  I'm writing to you from the other side of the Atlantic. I'm Brazilian and just read your book on perfectionism - and cried almost all the way through it and finally realized, after 15 years of professional life, that in fact I do have a problem that I need to work on. It was such a good read and it made me realize that, at least, I'm not alone" (Roberta)
