I'm a University-qualified and fully insured Clinical Hypnotherapist and Brain Working Recursive Therapy (BWRT) Practitioner with a busy practice in Clapham, Balham and Marylebone (W1). All of my clients benefit from a completely personalised and solution-focused approach, and this will generally integrate elements from other psychotherapeutic disciplines including BWRT, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and breathing techniques.
I work with a wide range of symptoms including stress, anxiety, phobias, addictions, pain, eating issues and insomnia, as well as trauma (including childhood and birth) and emotional problems (including anger). Increasingly, I work with clients with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and Chronic Fatigue to help them to transform their mindset and manage their symptoms.
Hypnotherapy is a gentle, effective and very creative form of therapy that I find works particularly well when clients feel “stuck” in unhelpful ways of thinking or behaving. I also use a new neuroscience-based therapy called Brain Working Recursive Therapy (BWRT) that is unique in the way that it targets and resolves mind-based problems using the way that the brain naturally processes information. It is very effective, often leading to rapid changes in one to two sessions, and I will be able to advise on whether BWRT can be used as all or part of the therapy plan (www.bwrt.org).
