Jenny Colin (Dip. Hyp, MPA, MA (Oxon), BSCH)
I'm a University-qualified and fully insured Clinical Hypnotherapist with a busy practice in Clapham, Balham and Marylebone (W1). All of my clients benefit from a completely personalised and solution-focused approach, and this will generally integrate elements from other psychotherapeutic disciplines including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and breathing techniques.
I work with a wide range of symptoms including stress, anxiety, phobias, pain, eating issues and insomnia, as well as trauma (including childhood and birth) and emotional problems (including anger). Increasingly, I work with clients with long-term physiological problems such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and Chronic Fatigue to help the to transform their mindset and manage their symptoms.
Hypnotherapy is a gentle, effective and creative form of therapy, particularly when clients feel “stuck” in unhelpful ways of thinking or behaving. At the same time, I use many new and highly targeted techniques that reflect the latest neuroscience and can promote rapid changes in one to two sessions. Some of my clients do choose to then continue with a more in-depth course of hypnosis-focused therapy or coaching, looking to build longer-term resilience, strengthen performance at work or provide support during challenging life events (for example, divorce).
