About me

Please do not attend if you feel unwell or have been in contact with someone who has covid

I’ve been a therapist for almost 20 years, however, clinical hypnotherapy seems to be the mainstay of my work these days. It’s what I do, it’s not so much a job, it’s my vocation in life.

I care passionately about helping people with their problems and Clinical Hypnotherapy is a wonderful therapy for this. It is a relaxing experience for most people, like being in a daydream, or meditating I am often asked what I specialise in, I am involved in everything from anxiety to weight control and everything in between.

I have been in practice now for many years and have assisted many people with many different worries and issues. No problem is too great or too small if it is a concern to you I will do my utmost to help you overcome it. Willpower or 'Won't Power' is it at the root of a lot of therapy treatments and I use a special technique to help you. I do not criticise, judge or advise, everyone's problem is unique to them and as such is important to them.

I do not simply treat a client, leave them to ‘fly solo’, file them away and forget about them. If the situation warrants it I’ll contact my client, in confidence, after a few months to see how he/she is progressing. If there is even the slightest problem, I invite them back in for a free consultation. If we both feel another session would be beneficial I book them in again (at a reduced rate).

All treatments are completely confidential, I do not discuss you with anyone. If I feel I cannot help you personally I won’t just turn you away or think I’ll get a couple of sessions from you for the money. I’ll either point you in the right direction or try to put you in touch with someone who can help you. You are not left without help. I try to be available to see clients at times that suit them, and I aim to book times convenient to you, so please ask if you would like to visit outside of my usual hours.

It's important that you feel you can trust your therapist and can work with them, which is why I always ask if you are happy to do so. I would not take it as a personal offence if someone said they weren't happy to work with me, everybody feels differently. I am happy to say everybody has always been very happy to work with me, in fact, most clients remark how easy I am to speak to and confide in.

TESTIMONIALS

I had been suffering with stress and panic attacks for some time, due to many factors. It even stopped me from going to sleep. I had taken tablets from the doctor but they just didn't seem to be working, I felt I needed to get at the root cause of the problem and not just treat the symptoms. I decided I'd give Hypnotherapy a go and found Jenny. She quickly dispersed any worries I had about treatments and their effects on me. I'd seen acts on television and was worried she could do the same to me.

Jenny quickly put me at ease, explaining how we would work together. I feel a new person now, full of confidence and able to cope with any problems that come my way. She gave me a copy CD of my treatments so I could always fall back on them if I needed to, but thanks to Jenny's skill and concern I never have had to. I wouldn't hesitate to contact Jenny if I had any sort of problem again. My life has changed for the better, thank you, Jenny. A Haverhill

All I can say about Jenny is that I gave her my trust and my will and she gave me back a healthier life. I was longing to give up smoking. I was an addict and had tried endlessly to give up. My sister had died of breast cancer and she smoked like a chimney. What was I doing? Why could I not have enough will power to stop? Well, I didn’t. I met Jenny and had one - just one session, and that was over five years ago. I thank her from the bottom of my heart and would recommend her to anyone willing to trust and believe. C. Additional information

Your initial confidential appointment is completely FREE and without any obligation whatsoever. At your initial consultation either in person or on the telephone, we have a chat about some or all of your concerns, if you feel you would like to work with me, we set an appointment time. I try to give you an idea of how many sessions you would need to help you, but it is difficult to be exact, sometimes there is more than one problem to overcome.

The follow-up sessions are approximately £40 - On your return, we talk about the areas we are going to cover in that session. You can hear every word I say to you during the therapy and I only mention the subjects we have decided to cover in this session. I say £40 approximately because there are concessionary rates available to people in receipt of benefits, pensioners, students. There is also a 15% discount for clients living within a 5-mile radius of our Red Lodge clinic.  These discounts are not available in conjunction with other discounts, sorry.  There are also special offers running at various times of the year. All clients are given a recording of their Clinical Hypnotherapy session, either on their phone or a CD to listen to between appointments. I cannot "fiddle" with your brain neither can you "slip back into hypnotherapy"

STOP SMOKING prices are available on request. It also has special offers. With our "Stop Smoking in 1 hour" sessions,  for those who start smoking again within 6 months I offer a free "Booster Stop Smoking" session. If you need several sessions to slowly stop your smoking this can be spread over up to 5 sessions at no extra cost,  but there is no free "Booster" session.  However If you start smoking within 6 months you will qualify for a discount price for a "Booster Stop Smoking" session.

PAST LIFE REGRESSION: £70 Your very own Time Travel Experience. Some of my clients have had amazing experiences, and on occasions have been able to verify their 'Time Travel Experience' through research. It's approximately an hour of great interest all recorded on CD or to your phone, for you to take away and listen to with friends and family, or to research and track your past.

Further information

Myths about Clinical Hypnotherapy - Is it true that some people can't be hypnotised?

Some people are indeed harder to hypnotise than others, usually due to not being able to relax or to have a fear of not being 'in control' or maybe concern that they are not happy working with the therapist. Because there are various methods of inducing relaxation it is usually possible to put someone into hypnotherapy relaxation, but it is a voluntary process on the clients part, if they do not wish to relax, there is nothing the therapist can do to make it happen.

It’s not making you do something you do not want to do: your subconscious mind would not allow you to do anything outside of your normal behaviour; the stage shows are just that; stage shows, not Clinical Therapies.

I cannot enter your mind and ‘fiddle’ with it; we agree beforehand everything I am going to say to you, there are no surprises involved. If I tried to instil in your mind something we had not agreed upon your subconscious mind would bring you out of hypnosis at once. I do not put you to sleep; you are aware of everything I say to you, it is like being in a daydreamy state you can end at any time, just by opening your eyes. It is not possible to get ‘stuck’ in hypnosis or to suddenly 'slip back into it'

So what is Clinical Hypnotherapy? It’s a pain-free way to resolve many problems and issues in life.
