About me

Qualified Hypnotherapist and qualified stress & trauma focussed Psychotherapist, registered with both GHR and BACP. I practice in Edinburgh and North Berwick

If you are wondering if hypnotherapy is for you, I invite you to an assessment session with myself where we can explore what you are looking for and we can also begin your relaxation on the very first session (unless you choose to use the time for something else or you prefer the first session to be talking only)

The hypnotherapy style I practise is a very natural way for the client to become relaxed and to feel confident about 'letting go' into a state of bliss - what could be better?.

It is so natural that people have said that they have been easily transported into a hypnotic trance state where they feel totally relaxed - even when they have never been able to do so before.
The gently induced hypnosis used, allows clients to go into their 'zen zone' easily and allows for verbal suggestive commands to bypass the conscious state and normal ways of being to 'materialise' in the inner workings of the mind, enabling the client to become accustomed to the new practice of behaviour that they so desire.

Clients say they have never felt so relaxed in their life and that they 'reluctantly' leave the hypnotherapy chair at the end of the session.

Jen draws on her skills and experiences with theta healing and reiki healing energy and uses these in her hypnotherapy practice to enhance the effectiveness of the healing energy and the connectedness with the client during the session. This has proven useful for many forms of addictions, anxiety, building confidence and quitting unwanted behaviours and mindsets

As a registered private counselling psychotherapist as well as a registered hypnotherapist, she is qualified and skilled in combining the hypnotherapy with either cbt or emdr as appropriate, to offer the best possible route towards your goal.

The General Hypnotherapy Register

Hypnotherapists may become members of the General Hypnotherapy Register if they satisfy certain criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements as determined from time to time by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC).

Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level.

All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.
