I am a Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist and a former Residential Social Worker, Nurse and Lecturer in Education, Health and Social Science.
I have over 35 years experience working within the Health, Social Care and Further Education sectors in across the U.K. As a result, I am privileged to have worked with and supported people from all walks of life and of various ages. I particularly enjoy working with teenagers and young adults and have a specific interest in anxiety and mood disorders.
In addition to addressing and managing the issues you are struggling with, the hypnotherapy and psychotherapy I offer is typically goal orientated placing an emphasis on what it is you hope to achieve in the long term. It is an effective form of therapy, with most clients noticing positive changes within relatively few sessions. Member organisations
The CNHC encompasses many types of alternative therapy, including hypnotherapy.
In order to be admitted to the register a practitioner must have studied to the National Occupational Standards for that profession/discipline, or have reached the equivalent of the National Occupational Standards through other relevant training or at least three years of experience and been assessed by their peers.
A practitioner must also have professional insurance and agree to abide by the CNHC Code of Conduct, Performance and Ethics.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
