About me

Hi there! Thank you for visiting my profile. I'm Jackie, a Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapist based in SE London and I'm currently seeing clients via Zoom.

If you're struggling with any kind of anxiety disorder - for example Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), work performance anxiety, social anxiety or a phobia please know you don't have to go through this alone.

If you are pregnant or a new parent and feeling worry and anxiety I have 10 years of experience working with expectant and postnatal mothers and can support you through what can be a challenging time.  Or perhaps your maternity leave is coming to an end soon and you're feeling anxious and lacking in confidence around returning to work.

Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy (CBH) is an extremely effective, quick, short term therapy. It will help you to finally gain control over those factors contributing to your anxious state meaning you’re able to ease into feeling great and being in full control of your life once again.

The reason CBH is so effective is because it looks at any current issues a person is experiencing, rather than focusing on the past. CBH focuses on problem solving, turning worries into solutions and helping the person change how they think, feel and behave around certain things or situations. For example learning:

  • New ways of thinking
  • How to let go of problematic thoughts
  • How to relax
  • How to calm down
  • How to problem solve
  • How to approach scary things
  • How to be assertive… etc.

You’ll spend time rehearsing your new ways of thinking, acting and feeling whilst in the calm, relaxed and powerful state of hypnosis.

Hypnotherapy/CBH is very safe. There are some contraindications to hypnotherapy, for example if a person has a history of psychosis, therefore a full health assessment takes place before we start any therapy.

How does it all work and what is my first step?

First of all we will have an initial telephone consultation where you can ask any questions about the therapy and I can find out a little about the issues you are experiencing. This is free of charge.

If you decide you’d like to go ahead our first session together will last 90 minutes and will include an in depth assessment, going through all issues you are experiencing and coming up with an effective treatment plan and an initial amount of sessions that you are happy with.

Clients feel the benefits right from the first session. Provided you put your new learned skills into action you’ll quickly notice all the benefits this brings – not only into helping with any issues you are experiencing, but also into other areas of your life!

I would love to help you feel free from being held back by fear and anxiety - there is so much we can do together so you can feel that the weight of anxiety is lifted and replaced with feeling relaxed and able to fully enjoy life.

Training, qualifications & experience

As well as working with all areas of anxiety, I specialise in working with pre and postnatal women and their partners, with over 10 years of experience in this field, and I am an experienced antenatal and hypnobirthing teacher and published author in this area with the Pinter & Martin.

With two children of my own, and having gone through pregnancy and postnatal anxiety myself, I fully understand what an overwhelming time pregnancy and parenthood can be for some.

I trained as a cognitive behavioural hypnotherapist through the UK College of Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy and I am a recognised practitioner with the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR).

Information about health conditions (*)

Hypnotherapy can enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting hypnotherapy.

Fees

£65.00 per session
Free initial telephone session

Additional information

The first session is 90 minutes long and is £65.00
Subsequent sessions are 60 minutes long and are £65.00
Included in the price are any audios and follow up information

Some clients require just 2 sessions, others perhaps 5 or 6 – it really depends on the issue/s you are experiencing. I will always check in with you after each session and at the half way mark through any treatment plan, to see how you are feeling and how much you are noticing and enjoying your new ways of thinking, behaving and feeling.

If, for example, we decide on a treatment plan of 4 sessions and after the first, second or third session you wish to cease therapy you can of course do this with immediate effect.
