My name is Iulia Popescu and welcome to Independent Personal Therapy.
I offer therapy for anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), mild depression, irritable bowel syndrome(IBS), fibromyalgia, stress, insomnia, weight management and lack of confidence. While I am based in Reading (Berkshire), I am also seeing clients online at the moment.
What is Independent Personal Therapy?
Independent Personal Therapy is the place where you have the opportunity to feel fully accepted. Here is where you discover what is like to be emotionally independent, successful, motivated, and healthy. So you can cope with whatever life throws at you.
We are all longing to be successful. No matter what your idea of happiness and success looks like, it always involves being:
1.Independent - Open to accept your emotions, understand your purpose and satisfy all your needs.
2.Personal - Whether a healthy family, a promising career, or an authentic friendship, it has to be something you care deeply about.
3.Therapy- leads you to a positive and constructive life, guiding you towards self-actualisation, maturity and socialisation.
I offer a supportive and non-judgemental space where the attention focus and attention lies always on you. Book a session and start taking back control of your life.
My passion, even though I prefer to call it vocation, started earlier in my life. I loved reading about human behaviour, emotions, needs, literature in general. However, I decided to keep it for a while as quiet hobby; the passion kept the light on for years. I obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology awarded by “Titu Maiorescu “University of Bucharest, engaged in hundreds of hours of personal development and completed two years in cognitive-behaviour therapy abroad at AHPCC. While working and starting to understand more about people’s suffering, issues, and struggles, I wanted to add new skills and tools in order to help my clients. I have enrolled and obtained a certificate in Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy at The National College of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy in the United Kingdom.
Why choose me?
You will always be accepted while working with me. I am a strong believer that once a person is completely accepted without judgement, using compassion and empathy, you can give up your issues and face your true self. I believe that everyone has goodness, unicity, and enough resources to become who they want to. I believe in you, but you must also believe in yourself.
When you start working with me you will probably realise that my style is not rigid, it is rather flexible, approachable, and extremely realistic. I have also 10 years of experience within the corporate sector, a career path that I really enjoyed at a particular point in my life, an environment that helped me develop as a professional, to grow as a human being and made me became extremely resilient. If you are working in a corporate environment, I may understand exactly how you feel when you are struggling. Success and accomplishment at work usually comes when there is a balance, an equilibrium between work and personal life. If you think that your personal life might be impacting your work, or your work is impacting your personal relationships, I might be able to relate and help you improve. I might be the hypnotherapist that you need.
