My name is Heather Murray and I’m a fully qualified and insured Hypnotherapist and Reiki practitioner, accredited with the National Hypnotherapy Society.
I have experience treating a wide range of issues including low confidence and self-esteem issues, anxiety and depression, emotional healing, insomnia, emotional eating, binge eating, phobias, smoking cessation and body dysmorphia. My areas of specialist interest include treating anxiety disorders, including PTSD and Complex PTSD.
I approach all clients in a holistic sense, meaning, I look at you as a whole person, not just a single issue. I formulate individual treatment plans, working with you, targeting the root cause of the issue.
I use hypnosis to alter your state of consciousness and access your subconscious mind. When your subconscious mind is open I’m able to suggest ideas, concepts and lifestyle adaptations which aim to re-programme patterns of behaviour within your mind.
In addition to hypnosis, I practice Japanese Reiki which is a hands-on energy healing technique which, when combined with hypnosis can induce powerful states of trance.
For those who find it especially difficult to relax (for instance if you struggle to 'switch off') or if you are suffering from chronic anxiety and stress, the use of Reiki can be extremely effective in treating symptoms of anxiety and depression. The combination of Reiki and Hypnosis produces a unique effect of profound inner calm which often lasts long after the session is over. Many clients report experiencing deep, trance like states with this method.

Other areas of hypnotherapy I deal with
I offer counselling to all clients as I believe it's important to treat clients holistically. Talking about how you are feeling throughout your hypnotic journey is important.
FREE initial consultation
A 30 minute consultation where we can have an extensive conversation about the problems you may be experiencing in your life currently. It is the opportunity to establish what your goals and aspirations are regarding hypnotherapy and I will explain in detail what hypnosis is and how it works.
£40 per session thereafter (1hour)
I always like to begin sessions with a chat to touch base and find out what kind of week you are having. I often counsel clients at this point. Next I preform a hypnotic treatment (and Reiki if requested) to guide you into a deep trance before giving you hypnotic suggestions relating to your individual needs.
I do offer discounts to those on low incomes.
More about Reiki...
Reiki, pronounced 'ray-key', is a system of energy healing originating from Japan. The word Reiki itself translates to 'universal life energy' and is based on the belief that life energy flows through all living things. When this energy becomes disrupted or blocked, it is believed that stress and disease follow.
As a Reiki practitioners use universal life energy which they have been attuned to, to promote natural healing.
Reiki works on the premise that 'life force energy' flows through all of us. If this energy becomes unbalanced, low or stuck, it is believed that we are more likely to become stressed and unwell.
Using their hands, Reiki practitioners use this energy to help balance clients' energy. The nature of Reiki is holistic, meaning that it addresses the body, mind and spirit. While Reiki is considered spiritual, it is not a religion. There is nothing specific you need to believe in, in order to benefit from Reiki healing.
This method of energy healing promotes relaxation and well-being. Its aim is to help reduce stress and stimulate the body's natural healing abilities
Available Monday-Friday 10am-7pm. I can offer Sundays if meeting during the week is problematic.
