About me
Hi my name is Gilly and my aim is to help you feel happier about yourself and your world and to take back control over your life. I specialise in anxiety, stress, fears, confidence and weight loss but most issues including alcohol reduction can be addressed using Hypnotherapy.
I am a qualified Clinical Hypnotherapist and NLP coach, registered with the GHR, CNHC and Anxiety UK as an Approved Therapist. I provide a confidential and non judgemental client- focused therapy, that aims to give you the support and tools you need to change your life for the better and resolve your problems.
Hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy is not stage hypnosis or mind control, Hypnosis is just a relaxed state of mind. It is a relaxing therapy that works by splitting your conscious and subconscious mind so that the subconscious is more responsive and open to new suggestions of behaviour. The subconscious mind is the part that controls our behaviour automatically, without conscious thought and intention. So if we can make changes in your subconscious it will lead to long term changes in your responses.
As a Clinical Hypnotherapist I will help you to change your mind set through the use of hypnosis and other techniques such as NLP and Parts Therapy. These therapies tackle the underlying issues and as it works with the subconscious mind you can make real fundamental changes to your behaviour and responses. Hypnosis can help you make positive changes that release you from what may have been holding you back and preventing you from making these changes.
Whilst you can consciously try to make changes to your behaviour, such as dieting, if you are having an internal battle with the part that wants to eat to make you feel better, you are going to have a struggle on your hands. Hypnosis and Parts therapy, can address this internal struggle and get your subconscious on board with your new intentions. You can then change the way you think about food and create healthier attitudes towards both food and lifestyle.
What to expect
During the first session, we will spend a long time discussing your issues and anything that you want to address. We will set goals to achieve and decide which are the most important issues to tackle first. Once established what you wish to gain, I will use different techniques to give you tools to control your thoughts and your physical and emotional reactions to triggers.
In just a few sessions you can make huge changes by identifying negative thought patterns and beliefs and changing these with hypnotherapy and other therapeutic techniques. Normally between 4 and 6 sessions is advised depending on the issues you wish to address.
What next?
I will be happy to talk to you further on the phone to discuss your situation and how I can help.

Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level.
