About me

Do you suffer from stress, anxiety, performance issues, lack of confidence or have something blocking you from living a fulfilled life? Do you feel lacking in control or motivation and want to regain presence? Do you have a goal that you passionately want to achieve but that currently seems unattainable?

If so, we can work together to remove the limitations that are holding you back and lead you towards a life without them. In addition to the goals you come to me with, as a result of our work together I aim for you to find direction, fulfillment and happiness.

How do I get results?

Extensive training in Cognitive Hypnotherapy at the internationally-renowned Quest Institute means I am able to help with a wide variety of limitations and goals. However, my approach may differ to other hypnotherapists you meet. I provide a bespoke service that is not about rapid relief but about long-term change. Combining hypnotherapy with coaching, I can help you to let go of your limitations (at the right pace for you) and then ensure your change is positive, permanent and that it permeates across all areas of your life. In short, once free from your problem, we will use coaching to build the fulfilled future that you dream of.

Based in Muswell Hill, North London, my comfortable practice offers an ideal environment for our sessions. We will create a treatment plan tailored to you, comprising 1:1 sessions as well as support and techniques for you to keep your progress on track between sessions and beyond.

Training, qualifications & experience

My training in Cognitive Hypnotherapy was with the internationally renowned Quest Institute in London, where I was trained by the founder of this model of therapy. I hold a Diploma in Cognitive Hypnotherapy and am a Master NLP practitioner. I am a full member of the QCHPA (Quest Cognitive Hypnotherapy Practitioners’ Association) and the National Council for Hypnotherapy, and am bound by their code of ethics.

I am also a voluntary member of the QCHPA board, supporting other Cognitive Hypnotherapists as they build their practices.

Other areas of hypnotherapy I deal with

I create bespoke treatment plans for each of my clients, tailored to their needs and the way they live in and view the world. Typically this will include 1:1 sessions at my Muswell Hill therapy room and bespoke recordings to accelerate progress between sessions. I will provide ethical and non-judgemental support for as long as is necessary to set you in the right direction for long-term change, and I will work at a pace you are comfortable with.

Each treatment plan is unique and created after our initial consultation, but as a guide most clients will begin with a package of 3-6 sessions at £105 per session, including post-session support and recordings.

Testimonial for Gemma Holmes Cognitive Hypnotherapy:

"I first started seeing Gemma on an adhoc basis in the lead up to my wedding. I had suffered from an overactive bladder for years which was being made worse by anxiety and was unresponsive to any medicines I had tried. The cognitive hypnotherapy sessions with Gemma changed my life. Not only was I able to enjoy my wedding without the fear of needing the loo, I have also since been better equipped to deal with anxiety and feelings of panic ever since. More recently I have been back to see Gemma again for coaching sessions since starting a new job. I wasn't even sure what was getting to me but Gemma was able to unlock my mental blockers and help me to process feelings of being a fraud and lacking confidence. After each session I walked out a little taller and I now feel ready to take on anything that my new role throws at me! Thank you Gemma! My saviour and life coach!" J, London
