About me

After experiencing life-changing results from hypnotherapy I decided to train and qualify as a therapist. I'm now practising in Aberdeen and achieving incredible results with clients who come with a wide range of issues, primarily; anxiety, depression, addictions, weight-management, low self-confidence, low self-esteem & limiting beliefs. I use both Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy and Hypnosis/trance.

What is Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy?

Clinical Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy is based on the philosophy of Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and, as the title suggests, is concerned with addressing the solution rather than the problem. It can be very effective in the treatment of anxiety disorders, phobias and depression as well as many other issues.

It recognises that each person is unique and the care and attention provided is, therefore, specific to the client's needs. The goals set and the support offered is tailored to deliver help to the client to enable them to achieve their solution. The therapy offers the client a secure environment and is delivered in a positive and constructive way so as to encourage and help facilitate change, which the client can then evaluate the effectiveness of for themselves.

What is Hypnosis/Trance?

Hypnosis is a normal, natural, trance like state that allows the individual to have focused attention. This is something which we can move in and out of many times within the day. We can be in a form of trance, for example, when we are driving, out for a run or even just daydreaming.

Put simply, hypnosis is merely the natural harnessing of focused thought which allows great change to take place.

Why Me?

I create a warm and relaxing environment. At the initial consultation, I find out all about the client's background and explain to them how the brain works and how we can learn to change our thinking to transform our lives. I focus on moving you, the client, towards your desired future.

Please feel free to contact me to arrange an initial consultation.

I can’t recommend Gary’s services enough. I was sceptical when I initially went to Gary to address one issue. I actually conquered a whole lot more. It’s true to say the five initial sessions with Gary turned my life around, brought me some inner peace and calm, and set me up with the tools to cope with some of life’s challenges in a more accomplished and reasoned fashion. I’ve been back for several top up sessions and will continue to do so as and when required. Go for it, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

I just wanted to say thank you so much for the hypnotherapy sessions, having never tried hypnotherapy before I would totally recommend it now! My misophonia may never go away but I feel I can cope with it better. With your help I understand more about my anxiety and can now allow my family to understand. I thoroughly enjoyed the hypnosis part of the session and I now regularly meditate most days to bring some calm into my busy life! As you say it's about empowerment and I totally feel that now! Thanks again!
